For us fans only. Modern day footballers couldn’t give a hoot Our game against Millwall last time wasn’t like a normal pre-season friendly. That may have been due to the fans being there more though. We shall have to see. Clubs don’t need the expense and agg of the policing costs………. |

We shall have to see. Can’t for the life of me understand why our game against your lot should be behind closed doors. Both clubs are fierce rivals and their fans should be in the ground to watch their team play. Not only that, fans create an atmosphere which can lift their players if the game is poor, or if their team goes a goal behind. How will your fans react if your team happens to beat us and there’s none of them there to savour the moment? It’s just absolutely ridiculous! (Charlton beating Millwall I mean!)  Seriously though, it is a ridiculous state of affairs. |

Anyone know if this is being streamed on Charlton Tv? I think I read that non league sides would not make a decision on the streaming of a pre season friendly until the actual day of the match so it doesn’t effect the size of gate ( money)…..which does leave it a bit short notice…. |

Handbags at London Bridge after but nothing serious . |

I'm also assuming Bishop was training with us in the lead up to yesterday,45mins of the first pre-season friendly wouldn't tell you alot you'd think? As I said in the other thread,im thinking this could be a shrewd move this one,already has an existing bond with Mitchell and was part of a team that seemed to bag for fun last season. |

I must say they look a happy bunch.👍 There's some characters in the squad which is good to see. This sort of thing is so good for team morale and bonding. Which is one of the reasons getting your transfer business done early can really help the team in the long run. |

Interesting at the back end of the season when Jones said he wanted some experience and some leadership well now he has Mitchell, very vocal at the back, Adhadme from what I saw on Saturday very vocal up top and Berry with Docherty who previously captained Hull so we certainly have some characters in the squad now and he hasn’t finished yet….. |
