Don't know about the others but Maribor have been in the champions league in recent years, so no Welling!!! Yeah they are the only one I have heard of. Hopefully they are all quality teas as I like to see us challenged in pre-season |

To be fair, after the outrageous tackle on Leaburn last year, that left him out of the squad for months, I would be happy to swerve this friendly, or even cancel it permanently. Playing against cloggers that intend to use their physical attributes to bully our players, when we are just trying to get match fitness, preparing for a new season, doesn't make sense to me. When our reserves played there it was a nice gesture but there is no point risking our players when the Welling team are going to leave their foot in to make a point. |

There is also such a thing as injuring our main centre forward out of action for 3 months…….Which probably didn’t go down too well last summer with our hieracy….🤔🤔 |

Plenty of traditions need a rethink at certain times. And last seasons friendly was that moment for this particular one. Don't go out injuring league clubs players in friendlies if you value the "tradition" so highly. |

I can understand the choice of Slovenia for pre season camp/friendlies … Slovenia is very similar to alpine Austria so he weather will be a mix of warm sun and cooler days spent at altitude if required.
