That's comparing Apples to Joneses. Daft. I am just saying that the post was exciting until he started quoting Apples. I trust so little in his football knowledge that his endorsement is an immediate red flag for me. However, I trust in Jones' judgement. If Jones thinks he is good enough, I will back us bringing him in and console myself with the fact that even a stopped clock is correct twice a day. Apples might not be able to see why he isn't a Champ player already, but I reckon Jones will and will likely have a plan on how to get him to perform at that level. This is an interesting one as Bishop has been with us on trial for quite a while now and surely NJ has had enough time for a decision to be made……I can’t remember the success rates of our previous triallists CBT aside and how quickly an offer was given……maybe our stattos on here can advise? I would have thought Bishop would have other suitors after him so you have to wonder what is going on with this one…..it’s all been very quiet on the Comms front since the friendly on Saturday…..We are supposed to be playing Millwall today but there has not been a whiff of information coming out about this one….even what time it is supposed to take place?🤔🤔🤔

I see Bolton are looking into signing Dembele and or Mcatee……...these would be statement signings,…..surely we should be interested also?

McAtee is a very good player, scored 15 on loan at Barnsley last season. Plays for Luton so NJ should be all over it.

I'd fuxck Aneke off right now if he is injured.
If I bkept going on the sick and didn't have the capacity to my job then I'd be out and they would bring somebody else in to replace me in teh office so why not the same employement law?
Just to round the day off it seems McAtee is Bolton bound while Davis Keillor-Dunn is going to Barnsley.
I was told he's not strong enough for us which I find a complete and utter nonsense.
We haven't done too badly this summer but it's nevr a good watch seeing your promotion rivals bringing in better players than we have.
We are just lacking a couple of high intensity players, McAtee is just that man we lack in the final third in my opinion.
I'd say we are still four short but for thos eto come in at leaset 4 or 5 have to leave the club and if Aneke is injured again, he needs to be one of them.

Would have thought we'd have been all over DKD especially....I know Barnsley are one of the bigger and better sides in this horrible league, but losing out on him to them still feels a bit weak! Losing out to Bolton is almost understandable! Hopefully not for much longer So the question remains....are we in for anyone at the moment?!

It is ridiculous that Aneke is still at at the club . Should have gone at the end of last season . Gone where? He is still under contract being one of our highest earners…..Do you expect the owners to write off a years contract?… I would very much doubt any other club would be willing to take him on at present with his injury record…..

Who's saying we have a god given right? Nobody there's your answer!
What we are saying is that good players are signing for other clubs which weakens our case.
I like what we have signed so far but I just think we need a couple of high quality players to give us that extra push.

You could possibly be right………If we were in for these players in the first place? …..I am not knocking the 7 we have brought in far from it…but reading posters discussing the value of bringing in Bishop and Hylton whilst our competitors are signing the quality of Mcatee and Keillor-Dunne still pisses me off as I want the best available players coming to our club…..

How do you know if we didn't enquire after McAtee or Keillor Dunn and they said they weren't interested? Or they wanted to much money? What would you have Cafc do? Kidnap them and force them to play? Or as I said maybe the management felt they're not what's required. The club is moving in the right direction and we've barely started the season and yet some people still aren't happy and moaning.

I agree with your comment that the club is heading in the right direction……if being frustrated that the club is looking at the likes of players on trial like Bishop rather than the quality players that will provide us with more goals and give us a chance of promotion then I consider myself guilty of moaning….. I don’t just want us to head in the right direction, I want us to compete for top 6 and for that you need a top 6 squad with some quality in depth….at present we don’t have that….

I think we are still way off top 6. Signings have been an improvement but the depth is not there yet. Still crying out for that attacking midfield player who’s going to get us moving forward and can score/assist.

Agreed. We aren't finished yet but I think throwing a couple of freebies in the mix just puts more pressure on us to offload more players. If we can't do that I don't think we'll see anymore perms coming in and we might dip into the loan market instead.

The guy who was talking about Bishop mentioned what Appleton said when they first signed him. Even taking that bit out, the other managers rated Bishop and he had good dribbling stats; a key part of our Bowyer season was Aribo's ability to carry the ball up the pitch and drag the team forward. It was a key part of Parkers game as well, and having that ball carrier is something we've been missing.
