That gap will be down to 1 point if QPR beat Stoke tomorrow night and we don’t get anything out of our game against Ipswich (which I don’t think we will). Its a sad footballing day when the runts of South London are still doing slightly better than both of us (albeit in the top league). Bastards!

What price a triple South London relegation this season ? Although tbf, League One is Millwall’s natural level.

No, it’ll be you and Crippled Alice that will escape the drop, with us going down! Reckon that’s nailed on. Mind you, taking 6 points off of you next season will come in handy as we go for automatic promotion. Every cloud and all that.

Absolutely trounced, mate. No fight, spirit or desire in this team. Don’t know if you saw the goals, but the third from Moore (our arch nemesis who always scores against us, whoever he’s playing for), is probably the worst and the easiest header an opposition striker has ever scored against us. Absolutely comical defending. If all of you want a pick me up after your weekend defeat, go cheer yourself up and watch our highlights. You’ll be rolling in the aisles, it’s that comical. Big 6 pointer on Saturday at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Lose that and I reckon our manager will be sacked.

Sutton is in South London (albeit not in a London postcode, but they are in a London borough). They are going down too in League Two.

There were a few Millwall fans having a go at Gary Rowlett a couple of weeks ago when he was being touted for the Charlton job, I bet they would happily have him back now.

If we’re relegated this season and Joe Edwards stays with us, I have much more faith that he will get us back to the Championship quicker than Gary Rowett would have done. As much as Edwards is new to management, Rowett has never achieved promotion with any of the clubs he’s previously managed, and there’s a good reason for that - he’s shite. You lot did well to get Jones over Rowett. I wouldn’t wish him on my own worst enemy… except perhaps Palace and the Vermin (West Ham.)

Millwall sack manager, Harris to return back to the Den 😂 Hasn’t been confirmed yet, but that’s the strong rumour that Harris may be coming home. Shame it didn’t work out for Edwards, but he tried to change too much too soon, and it backfired on him. We are not blessed with many technical players and trying to get the majority who aren’t, to change their way of playing, was asking too much of them. As for Harris, well, he’s Wall through and through, and if he does come back he will get the players playing no nonsense football again. Whether that will keep us in the Championship remains to be seen. Maybe the club are thinking long term, in that if we do get relegated, Harris might stay on as he has had previous experience in getting us out of league 1 and into the Championship. We shall see.

Harris got so much abuse when he was last there, I speak with a Millwall fan who said it was embarrassing the grief he got but that’s Millwall fans . The football under Harris was pretty grim as well let’s hope they get him back

Amusing thread.
Let’s be honest ….we would all have loved to have had John Berylson as our owner these past 10 years, as opposed to the collection of grifters & crack pots who have screwed our club.
Well done to Berylson’s son for admitting to his mistake & acting before it was too late.
SE7 Partners take note ✍️

Well done to Berylson’s son for admitting to his mistake & acting before it was too late. SE7 Partners take note ✍️ We get to choose our club, or we are often inducted by an older relative. We get to choose how often we go, and whether we engage above and beyond the 95 minutes every Saturday. But we never get to choose the owners. And it's somewhat delusional to imply that we have influence over their decisions nor who they employ in senior roles, nor who they sell the club on to. Obviously when the strategy works then more fans turn out - nobody expected the play-offs in 2018/19 to sell out. In fact some azijnpissers were complaining bitterly about the squad earlier that season. Those people projected that success would never come whilst Duchatelet owned the club! The SMT have changed manager and the next win will change the narrative. Completely! A couple of wins in March will shift the odds significantly so let's not upset ourselves in the meantime. Jones is using around 15 players in the main, and many of those he's not using will be out of contract in a few months. Thus the narrative will change again in May as we look forwards to the squad changing - whatever division we are in. And whoever the owner, SMT and manager are, our club will continue to lose millions until such time as we secure promotion back to the Championship. Looks like there's a decision coming soon on the enhanced EPL "donation" to the EFL. Pouring bile from a keyboard on our players, the staff, management and owners really makes no difference to the results and the losses. Far simpler and more constructive to enjoy the forthcoming games and discuss whether we're making progress or not. But it's obviously entirely up to individuals as to what approach they take.

seriouslyredYour first 6 paragraphs have got nothing to do with the OP, or my post, you are just relitigating your now familiar 15 year ITTV narrative 🙄 The second last paragraph is a similarly familiar trope of yours. You can see from the Millwall Twitter feed this week just how different and far less passive the MFC fans are, compared to Charlton fans like you. No bad thing, IMO. Joe Edwardes was clearly out of his depth at Millwall. Just like Appleton was with us. Brutal fan power from a working class fanbase forced him out 👏 I haven’t seen a single Millwall fan posting about their xG, or “let’s see where we are at the end of March, so embrace the journey” etc.

SE7 Partners take note ✍️ To be honest, our SMT haven’t been that much better compared to what your fans have suffered with. Our fan base are not particularly enamoured with our Chief Exec. Steve Kavanagh, and even less so with Alex Aldridge, who probably could give Andy Scott a run in the Director of Footballing Fuck Up stakes. For me, the jury is still out on Berylson’s son, James. He hasn’t covered himself in glory, making a poor decision to go with Aldridge’s suggestion to appoint Edwards as head coach (who was No. 2 only to Frank Lampard who himself didn’t pull up any trees when he was a manager), and now bringing back the prodigal son, Neil Harris could be seen as an act of desperation which may or may not work out for Harris, the club and the fans. I do feel, with Harris back at the helm, more confident in getting some sort of result against Southampton on Saturday, more so than if Edwards was still in charge. Ask me again come 5pm Saturday evening.

I guess all this just shows how critical it is to make a right decision at the right time. Charlton have never really recovered from the crazy appointment of Iain Dowie, despite a couple of what proved to be false dawns, we have been in decline for nearly two decades. We have now reached one of the lowest points in our history and can only hope that Nathan Jones is the guy to turn things around.
Both Millwall and Palace have now made managerial appointments that may or may not starve off relegation. In the past, Hodgson always had just enough savvy to keep Palace in the Premiership, whether this new guy does, will become clear in the coming weeks. As for Neil Harris, well second time around doesn't always work, we found that out with Jose Riga. Based on how quickly things moved, it does seem to be an appointment made out of desperation though, Berylson Jr going with what he knows, rather than exploring other options. Time will tell, which changes (if any) will work.
