Given time there is definitely another Josh Cullen in there. Like the sound of that! One we can keep. Responded to NJ,by doing his talking on the pitch with a great performance, long may it continue.

This, and a few of the other players performances does add some doubt to those that are calling for Andy Scott to be sacked along with the rest of the SMT.
Making mistakes is not ideal, but correcting them is the real test of competence. Clearly Appleton was not a good appointment but that was identified and a replacement has been brought on and most of the January signings look a lot better than they did a few weeks ago.

I was personally way to quick on the trigger in voicing my disappointment with Coventry.
Settling in, he clearly looks to be an "elite" L1 player. Looked every bit a Championship player the last few games.

Looked every bit a Championship player the last few games. Makes me wonder who else in our squad might have some potential, with the right coaching. Even the much maligned Tennai Watson has looked a bit better in recent weeks

I believe Conor was out of contract at West Ham this summer hence why this was a sell on. Same with CBT with Derby except he’s a loan.
But still, great business đź‘Ś

Awesome bit of business! Maybe some will get off his back for his (BB reported ÂŁ1m+) non-existent fee that he cost!
He could be part of a great midfield imo

I think we will see the best of him next season. Was helluva display at Derby and showed how good he is.

To be fair it could be some site making stuff up that he read...just don't come on hear making it out to be facts.

Not sure what he brings to the table . He flatters to deceive in my view . Lucky not to be sent off today . Doesn’t score goals , can’t shoot , doesn’t head the ball and can’t tackle and overhits his passes more often than not . What is he good for ?

Thought he had a poor game yesterday but was still one of our best players on the day…..Which is a bit of a contradiction I agree but technically he is one of our best players, he is constantly looking for midfield runners in space which don’t come hence he tends to play the safer option He hardly ever gives the ball away and if we can recruit another couple of quality midfielders who also have the ability to look after the ball and don’t give it away cheaply like Anderson did yesterday I think you will see a quality player next season…IMO
I am going to play devils here a bit but fans go on about Dobbo and Anderson putting in the amount of tackles they do but isn’t that as a result of us surrendering procession far after too easily all season, at times yesterday in the first half we played some neat pass and move football which went through their lines quite well but then we resorted to Gillesphey continually hitting 60 yard diagonals aiming for Wickhams head and for us to try and win the second ball which we rarely did…..A moment in the first half summed all this up, we had them open in the middle of the park and Anderson in acres of space drilled a pass straight to their left back who then mauraded forward putting us under the cosh…..We simply do not look after the ball well enough and need better technical players in the middle of the park…..Even Wigan in the week who weren’t that great managed to look after the ball fairly well in the middle of the park, they just had nothing up top until we gave them yet more helping hands so they could score

No tricks, and a poor user of the ball.

I dont think the problem lies with him, as he is always looking for the ball, and looking for a runner to pass to.. Too often he has no options..

Spot on Sevenoaks, that’s my take on it also, with better players around him you will see his quality come through next season

With six or seven additions over the summer, a proper pre-season, and an obvious system, all those who made the cut are looking better. Let's enjoy the next few games, then take stock. Then add Miles Leaburn to the mix!

What I like about him is that he looks up to try and play that killer pass but when it is not on he keeps possession of the ball and keeps us moving forward…..Would love to see his stats on interceptions/ times he has given the ball away in the first three games….🤔🤔 I think he was hampered/ restricted a bit last season with him playing in the same midfield with an out of position Dobson and Anderson playing in front of him plus a lack of movement up top……..

One can use the Fotmob app to secure xG, pass completion, tackles etc AND compare Coventry to any another player. They have a scoring system based upon an unpublished algorithm, and our scores for most positions are up significantly. We appear to have a great pass completion rate, but I've not seen stats on the pace & accuracy of passing forwards. That's what matters when you want to leverage turnover in possession whether that's in our half or with the press. We have a blend of young professionals on long term contracts and ex-Luton Championship (older) players. Time will tell when we play the top clubs, but our midfield appears to be in a good place.
