Having a right chuckle tonight at some of the shite written about me today on other forums and on twitter. Funny how there is nothing on here though especially when these throbbers know this is the place to find me.
All the paperwork is in from SE7 and I stand by that so keep writing and slagging away because it's comedy gold despite some of the abuse and vitriol being off the scale. This despite us all supporting the same club.

Over obsessed and looking for problems, a bit of patience and perhaps having a bit more of a broader life would help. Why anyone would buy us is a wonder really. Some of these people might benefit from Nigel Adkins' advice about walking and clearing the mind! |

The funniest thing of all is that it's come about today because of something Peter Storrie said which they have taken literally. I'm the one speaking to three people involved in the takeover so I know exactly what's going on and where we're at. Everything that comes out of my mouth is based on fact. I don't need to do what others have done today, read minutes from a meeting and put my own spin on it and accuse me of lying. |

At the end of the day, TS is’nt going to spend money on players when he is about to sell, why would he. It’s going to be another underwhelming transfer window until the January window. This takeover will take time but the most worrying thing is that the teams around us are already making big movements in the window and we’ll be bringing in the scraps no one wants

Windows ruined imo. Takeovers not going to be a quick process. By the time it happens it will be the end of preseason. Reminds me of the sangarrds first window where he brought something like 12 players in 3 weeks. All the best deals like May for example get snapped up early doors. Unless we have a championship sized budget. The seasons ruined Deals like May? A 30 year old who will cost well in excess of £1.2 million made up of cost and wages. We could end up paying him 5-7k a week for not scoring goals. There is no evidence he can reproduce what he has over the last two seasons. It's not like we can shift him on if he doesn't. People going well over the top with this and it's becoming to become a little bit tedious. There will be enough of a budget to make us a top six side next season. You don't win anything in June! Comments like the season is ruined is very OTT, dramatic in the extreme. I have no concerns at all personally. Not fussed about Alfie May he's more likely to be another Nicky Ajose. |

Transfer window opened 14th June and closes 1st September. New owners still have a long time in this window to make an impact. Even if the 6-8 week time it takes for EFL to agree the takeover started at the point SPA was signed that still leaves all of August to make an impact. It's not ideal and yes we would probably have already missed any eyed targets in the hope the takeover even happened, but I don't see us having to write anything off yet.
Yes it would be great to start preseason with some quality players but if it can't happen yet we have to be patient. I trust Holden to be looking at decent players with the current wage budget he has got and hopefully there will be more to come once takeover completes. Not expecting any fees for players at this time (why would Sandgaard do that when he is selling when he wasn't that keen when he had the club). Players contracts are not up until early July so free transfers unlikely until then either.
Trying to stay positive still for this window. Like everyone else I want it to happen now but realistically we still need to remain patient.
Feeling more positive about this season at the moment.

We moan when we sign no one, we moan when we DO sign someone and say that they're not good enough. You can't win either way. So how about we just stop moaning for once and let it be. We’ve got the nucleus of a decent side if the likes of Mitchell and Campbell can push on, Egbo can stay fit and Leaburn doesn’t get sold. Few decent additions and a bit of positivity around the club for the first time in ages. That last bit goes a long way. We’ll have a good season. Seven weeks and counting!!! |

I can't say I understand the fans saying "if we don't get May then Stockton was the next best". They aren't similar at all apart from the position they play. I can't imagine if you failed to sign one of them, that you would then be interested in the other. You'd be changing the whole structure of your team.
I do think some people just see stats "Position: ST, Played: x, Goals Scored: y" and decide that's who we should buy. Irrelevant if they are Pacey/Agile types or a Targetman or something in between.
