Another Swindon player in.
We need to be careful here.
I’m not sorry about MacGillivray - one of the poorest keepers we have had in years.

I didn't want Big Mac starting after last season but thought Maynard-Brewer would be given a shot. I guess he can play backup and we sell Craig. Not a huge loss, didn't command his area at all, decent shot-stopper but it isn't enough. I hope Reed is the final piece of the Swindon puzzle we poach.

Actually fairly happy with this one. I would like us to start branching out above League 2 however but after what we all witnessed last season with MacG it's no surprise at all we have brought someone new in - and actually I'm fairly pleased that we have, as Garner can clearly see, through footage etc, what the rest of us could see all of last season.

Problem is we could lose both him and AMB to the World Cup

Swindon fans generally not too sad about him leaving.
Must be half decent though if he was in team of season.

Not bothered about bitter Swindon fans. I thought Nick Pope was crap and look how that one turned out!! He's not in this little lot without good reason.

He said this in April
“Every player wants to play at the highest level, possibly, you would want to play in the Champions League, Premier League and you would want to play in Europe and win trophies.
“So, I think, long-term that is the goals but for now, I just have to focus at where I am and keep working hard.”

Strange how Marshall has been confirmed but Wollacott hasn't. Perhaps there is another Swindon player we are after and we don't want to announce the arrival of the keeper, who is a free agent, until we get that one of the line to save giving them the ump!

Got the impression he wasn’t out of contract for another few days, so will wait For then ?

Am I the only one watching that video of his great saves and feeling nervous? He seems a bit flappy. I wouldn't say commanding.

Can't see a whole heap between him and Mac. That said, he likes to pass from the back and Mac never, ever, does that. Maybe that's all that's in it and saves a bit of the wage bill for other areas.

Personally would prefer a decent shot stopper and commanding keeper than one that can pass from the back. I mean Dean Kiely rarely kicked the ball to our player but I'd have his style of a keeper again in a heartbeat. Same in defenders. I'd rather have defenders with pace who can tackle and block than ones who put great crosses in, but then maybe I'm old school lol

Just for the record I'm not writing him off at all, just saying I'm not wowed by what I see there.

Also, Dean Kiely played in a style of football that just isn't used anymore. I think the thing to remember with these signings is they're made with a specific philosophy in mind, not just the core attributes. It's a gamble, but I think it must be better than last year - such despair at the way we played at times.

Jojo was brilliant for us when he first arrived. Truly superb. His excellent performances got him called up to Ghana, where he was very popular and did well.
He just wasn't the same when he returned, regularly making errors that put the defence in trouble. His distribution went to pieces and he eventually lost his place to what was our 2nd goalie, who did just as well, if not better than JoJo did.
I saw somebody else above mention 'bitter' Swindon fans. Nah! We already have a number 1 and JoJo may have spent most of his time on the bench if he stayed with us. Maybe he's got his head sorted over his Ghana experience, in which case you have a great young goalie on your hands. Otherwise, he's a bench warmer for a L2 club.
Egbo, on the other hand... I'm very dissapointed to see him leave.
