Confirmed this afternoon- with the option of an extra year.
Well deserved I’d say - he’s impressed more than both Kirk and Jaiyesimi this season out wide.

Confirmed this afternoon- with the option of an extra year. Well deserved I’d say - he’s impressed more than both Kirk and Jaiyesimi this season out wide. Good news as we should always seek to keep the 15 players who feature every week while the others improve or leave. Kirk appears a decent player but doesn't fit the system that Jackson plays. And we will have to agree to disagree on Jaiyesimi who has clearly stepped up this season. Although he is rarely good for more than 70 minutes. Signing Elerewe and now CBT is the start of evolving our squad for next time. There were something like 13 players out of contract next summer or loans. |

Interesting timing, as he’s featured less under Jacko than he did under Adkins, but overall I like what I’ve seen and this is good news

Agree entirely, as much as this is very well deserved I just don’t see where he fits into JJ’ system…….I can only se him getting games time as an impact sub coming on against tired defences…..Our priority though should be getting Lee signed up on a perm long contract……cracking little player….. |

Pleased about this, think he has a lot more to offer than we have yet seen. Deserved.And I agree CBT has more to come now his future is settled.Pace to burn,hopefully put to good use against the Pilgrims Saturday at some point. |

CBT’s agent is clearly getting to work early. Given that Sandgaard has said that he intends to come to close to breaking even next season, CBT & Dobson are the obvious sales this Summer to enable him to achieve that. |

CBT’s story is amazing really…….I don’t think anyone was that impressed when he rocked up on a trial and bagged a six month contract…..and look at him now……him and Dobson first names on the team sheet……the guy has raw talent and bags of pace which is such a valuable commodity….which the big boys in the Championship are now well aware about…… I personally don’t think TS will cash in on either Dobson and CBT……..for all the break even talk I think he will achieve that with either Gomez or Pope moving on this summer….. |

I first really noticed him away at the Gills. We were sitting very near the front and the expression on his face was of someone really giving their all. If he continues to progress then I would hope we get one more season out of him, before he goes on to bigger and better things, which he inevitably will. His final ball is improving all the time. Hopefully we can exercise the option and get decent money for him next Summer.
Selling now would send a terrible message.

If championship quality we must keep him. Add 10 more players who could mix it up in the championship then I’m pretty sure we would get promoted.
That’s what Sandgarrd should be aiming for.
Probably be sold for 1.5 million and would go towards breaking even.

As long as we get a quality replacement in. I wouldn’t be against him going in January to allow us to get a fee.
However, I think it would be better to let him go on a free if he continues how he’s started this season.
Depends how much other players pick up the ‘weight’ of our attacking threat. First 6 or so games it was all through CBT. It’s evened out a little more in recent games with more options available to us.

There's three ways to attack the opponent’s goal: either wing or down the middle. CBT has consistently delivered down the left as you say. Now we have Leaburn, Campbell x 2, Tedic and Aneke we're able to attack from all areas. In just a few weeks time we'll know far more about the squad under Appleton in terms of performances, XG and results. We'll have a better idea as to whether 76 points is possible or just a dream. For that reason I'd be loathe today to allow either CBT or Dobson to go in January. Not unless we know the team is strong enough, with replacements coming in. Obviously the player and agent may see things differently depending upon what offers are about. |

We can't let these two walk without a fight,if agents/ego's get in the way then that's something else sadly. Both should know they are core components going forward. |

But we are talking about CBT who have to say is the frustrating player I think I have seen in a Charlton shirt .. he got it all , great pace , can beat a player but he can’t cross a ball or create a chance ??
Get a very good offer let him go we can get better and a more consistent player. He no where near good enough for championship

I'd get him tied down for another 3 years, if we keep winning, he will stay.
if we don't go up this year, i can see him being sold.
Even though he can be frustrating, I like him, he can do things no other player we have can do.

Looked lost today, hardly involved at all.
It's a bit early to assume, though one has to wonder if he's head been turned by recently speculation.
If He doesn't want to sign a new contract then he can go.
