Willett , in 2 of the last half dozen posts you’ve posted...
(i) that you heard it was down to the money that we wouldn’t pay and other teams would...
(ii) that Chelsea want him playing in a winning team chasing promotion...
Not sure which of those 2 you actually think is true , option (i) for me , regardless of that I think it proves that everyone on twitter has a differing opinion on everything , and most of them know nothing...

Would be guessing mate. Just saying what others are saying online. Guess we may never know unless Swansea say something tomorrow.

The eternal challenge of loans, short term contracts and the Championship is that it is very hard to attract and retain the talent.
Gallagher and a couple of others are head and shoulders above the rest in terms of both ability and consistency and both he and his club will be pursuing regular football at a top ten side or even abroad?
Our first XI without Gallagher, Cullen and Taylor is going to be in real trouble. Therefore ESI need to move very fast to bring in talent.
As for Gallagher, a real talent and a pleasure to watch - thanks for the contribution to our performances this season.

I’d imagine Lampard has to make a comment at some stage , and whatever he says is gonna make him look like an idiot....
Personally I think we as a fanbase/forum who watch every minute we play and are therefore super critical of everything , are letting our imaginations run wild , imo it’s not because he got lumps kicked out of him , or he’s playing in an U23 midfield or we are overplaying him (Chelsea could of asked us to rest him) , it’s got to be a money thing , if there was talk of a loan fee and his wages paid in full , how could we compete..
Anyway you can guarantee that Lampard will just say Coopers name a few times and that’ll be that... fcuk Chelsea...

The joy of the loan market. On the one hand we bring in a loan from Brighton, who is perpetually injured, and clearly of no use to us, but his parent club refuse to take him back. On the other hand we get a real gem from Chelsea, who shows a level way above his years, and despite being a 'season long loan', he gets recalled back to Chelsea, leaving us with another gap to fill. Pointless to live in the past, and we have done very well with loans just lately, but I do sort of harp back to the days when we used to build a squad to compete. I'm happy to wish Gallagher all the best in the future, but this is a real kick in the nuts for us.

Started the season on fire but last half a dozen games probably even 10 he has looked really ordinary . Slump seems to have happened when we lost William's and Cullen through injury, Would imagine Chelsea feel he will benefit winning every week so sending him to play off chasing teams will further his career.....not. Lampard will be sacked by Christmas anyway. Honeymoon is over for him now. You’re only as good as the players around you. I agree he started to struggle once others got injured.

And that's a valid view. Big challenge for Southall and ESI to grab the Baton and keep things moving in the right direction... big, big challenge!

Some of our fans jesus wept. Let's just get rolled over by other clubs little old Charlton and our fans seem to think it's fine. Yes he is not our player but to take hima and loan him to another club because they have faith on the manager. Dig at bowyer also. Unsavoury end to anything that ever was there.

How much was Connor on surely not that much then again this is Chelsea £25k per week, Wiggy... If it’s 25k a week and a team offered to pay the full whack , that’s roughly half a million until seasons end... plus possibly a loan fee 😳 I for one would rather that half a million be spent more wisely on a permanent signing , however much I loved Conor being here...

We’re f@#king rich chant a few games ago looks a tad embarrassing now. Where are the billionaires? We’re continuing with RD plan of lower salaries and selling youth players to balance the books. It’s called sustainability now to appease fans. For an agent l would have expected MS to offer LB a shorter contract, say 2 or 3 years and adjust depending on success or failure. Anyone know what players he represented in the past?

That doesn't seem to be the official account from the Chelsea academy, but the account that belongs to thechels.net/ (at the bottom of that site they more or less state as much by making it clear that they are not the official Chelsea site). So while those Tweets make sense, it's not the official Chelsea point of view. Personally I find it a risk for Chelsea though: nothing wrong with having to fight a relegation battle and the pressure that comes with it for the development of a young player. Especially when you consider that he has to move to a completely new environment mid-season and it remains to be seen if he will be a regular starter there.

It’s often quoted that you learn more about yourself when you’re losing. Pratley could teach a lot when your scrapping.

As been said before , it’s all about the money , chelsea fans won’t wanna admit its money dictated because “they ARE fucking rich..” that why they are saying it’s better team , nearer promotion blah blah , and it’s what I’d expect Lampard to say also but it’s down to the accountant or whoever saying....”we can keep Conor at Charlton OR we can switch to Swansea for approx 400k , sorry Conor but at least you’re be linking back up with Cooper....” no brainer for the accountant no matter what Conor , Frank or Claude would prefer... And us not wanting to match that is common sense , Conor would of been on 3x and more what any other player was possibly on , that’s 500k that can be spent on other players , permanent players , our players.... No Brainer , just typical of the Charlton luck....

We are no different then if we was under RD if we are not going to compete wage wise or at least mid table Championship wages

Swansea have 5 loan players already , Conor makes it 6 , and they are good players..... Woodman Wilmot Brewster all started last game with Guehi and Kalulu on the bench... With Woodman being their keeper , that means the other 5 will vie for 4 squad spots..Ironically Conor could cost fellow Chelsea loanee Guehi a squad spot on a Saturday... Interesting that we are not alone in relying on the loan market and Swansea aren’t far removed from parachute payments...

Was embarrassing at the time. Along with...we pay your benefits... They chanted that? Strange. 'We pay your benefits' was chanted at the West Brom fans, who are classed as Northern (therefore jobless) even though they're from the Midlands. 'Dirty Northern B***ards' got quite a few airings as well. Not without some justification.

He’s their player, so obviously they can do what they want, but it’s disappointing that LB was unaware of this happening, there couldn’t have been any dialogue or warning from Chelsea about their intentions.
Regarding players salaries, I’m sure the new owners must realise that if you are playing Championship player fees, those players will expect Championship level wages. It has to be a complete package for club and player. MS was an agent, he can’t fail to know how it works.

Indeed, with us being a successful academy it might backfire on them should we produce a starlet they want to purchase!
