Perhaps the 200000 was part of the 300000 we are getting for Joe Aribo? Maybe but we got 2.5m for Grant and that went on losses so at least it’s good we are actually spending something when most expected nothing! Your pals on 606 seem to love misquoting me, never understood why they have so much pent up hatred. Still I prefer the feeling of positivity even if others don’t.. P.s. I criticised the team performance after our 5-3 loss to Scunthorpe, perhaps elf’s can get his facts straight! I thought we got 1.5 for Grant. I have pals everywhere jeddez that is just the kind of guy I am.

Anyone know anything about the lad? I’ve not heard of him before. What type of striker is he? One that scores goals! Although not everyone seems happy about him signing. Seems our club has more “scouts” than the rest of the league put together. Perhaps it’s cause we signed someone for a fee and it goes against everything they’ve been posting. If we trust in SG then it could be a very shrewd signing, I think he deserves a chance at the very least!

And there you have it:
paulie8290 12:08PM Underwhelmed to say the least. Championship club signing someone who was non league last season, but what do u expect under Roland. I may be wrong and he may be class, but just because he scored goals at non league, doesnt mean he will smash them in at Championship level. No doubt him and Lyle will be our only 2 strikers next season as well. There some sad idiots around

It is a big step up for Macauley Boone , but lest we forget Karlan was playing against Crewe Alexandra and then less than 10 months later was playing against Chelsea....!! For that idiot above , that’s league 2 to Premiership , you could say National League to Championship equates to the same...
I think we should give him a chance , 45 goals last 2 seasons at about a goal every other game , and I think we have seen what a lucrative position playing off of Lyle can be....
The most interesting part is the ‘3 year deal’ bit , is this a sign that someone else had a hand in this negotiation...? 🤔

Ian Wright didn't do too bad did he! Exactly lewisham , and these days there is hardly any difference between the national league and league 2 , it’s not like when Wrighty was at Greenwich Borough.....

We've all forgot about this signing news already haven't we lol The signing actually happened early last week and that's when the photos were taken etc but was announced today so that Orient could soften the blow with a replacement signing. "Connor Wilkinson returns to the Football League at Leyton Orient Posted on 17th June 2019'

Glad to see him sign, but I also hope he’ll be followed by two strikers with a little bit more Championship pedigree. Then, along with Lyle, we’ll have a real competition for places.
I have a sneaky feeling that we might get one more and then offer Igor a short term deal though

All I know is that signings like this just make me think that we are preparing for L1 12 months in advance.
Not his fault, he's a good player, full of energy and scores goals but the championship is a step too far.

My LOFC MATE SAYS
“Hello mate, good striker for us 20+ goals 2 seasons in a row, most scored before Xmas both seasons then faded away. Needs 4/5 chances to score 1, so misses a few but work rate is exceptional. Is the championship a league too far for him? We will see, sad to see him go but deserves a move. Scoring in a successful NL team is one thing, no disrespect intended, but will he score so many in a lower half championship club that may not create so many chances? I hope so. Did I see Bowyer is off now though?”

We can sign a player for three years but not a manager apparently.

When Lee Bowyer said Macauley Bonne was one for the future, I don't think he meant August 10th.

When Lee Bowyer said Macauley Bonne was one for the future, I don't think he meant August 10th. Too right! When we look at the squad at 5pm Thursday and the team sheet on Saturday Bonne will be either heading on loan or making up numbers like Parker after January window issues... Let us hope for the former.
