Welcome Macauley!
No idea how we signed you as we got no money but welcome to the Valley!
Edit- I like the fact SG has been watching him over a period, couldn’t get him in Jan but still feels he’s a good fit. That’s good enough for me.

So assumedly he is playing for free, provides his own boots, the picture has Lee photoshopped into it because he's done a runner, he has never heard of RD and is gash to boot ?
That's how it works.

And there you have it:

Underwhelmed to say the least.
Championship club signing someone who was non league last season, but what do u expect under Roland.
I may be wrong and he may be class, but just because he scored goals at non league, doesnt mean he will smash them in at Championship level.
No doubt him and Lyle will be our only 2 strikers next season as well.

They say we are after 2 more strikers , and if he turns out to be our #3 or #4 then he looks a finisher , which is something Parker and Recco never looked like...

If Steve Gallen has been after this player since January then signing him now is a step forward.
The move up from playing 5th tier football to playing for a League One Club will be a challenge for any young player. Moving up now to play for a League One Club in the Championship is even more of an ask.
But (as others have said) the judgment of Bowyer and Gallen has proved very solid until now. The young man must have something about him, so let's hope he can succeed at this level.

Do we know how long his contract is for? Was suggested yesterday it would be 4 years...
EDIT: I just checked on the website - three years. Some commitment there, good to see.

Positive news at last. It will be a big step up from playing for the O's in the National League, but he has age on his side and can score. What's not to like. And we swap an Antiguan international for a Zimbabwean international. 😊

" of the opportunities. Seeing how they’ve had a young team for the past two seasons and they’ve managed to get where they have with the youth in there. I thought it was the best move for me to progress at and become a better player."
Telling that he didnt sign because of anything the 'gaffer' has said. Usually within these interviews you will get something like "he spoke to me & laid out how we want to progress as a group". Not great really. Wonder why a player would sign for a club that may change managers before the start of the season; new manager may not fancy him. I hope I'm wrong.

Maybe but we got 2.5m for Grant and that went on losses so at least it’s good we are actually spending something when most expected nothing! Your pals on 606 seem to love misquoting me, never understood why they have so much pent up hatred. Still I prefer the feeling of positivity even if others don’t.. P.s. I criticised the team performance after our 5-3 loss to Scunthorpe, perhaps elf’s can get his facts straight!

Nice to get the first one done, I would like to think that he’s pretty confident LB will be staying .
Welcome Macca, look forward to seeing you in the Charlton shirt . He says that he works hard , so that’s always good to see ,and help to get the fans behind him .

Anyone know anything about the lad? I’ve not heard of him before. What type of striker is he?
