Watching this game have to say Barnsley will win this league .. I tipped them at the start of the season and watching them today they look very impressive , they held on to a number of their players from last season and that shows at this level ...
2-0 up after 29 mins ( although Luton should have scored linesman got offside wrong ) but still look second best all over the park
Think next week this will be our strongest test we will face this season ..the only thing that might give us a chance is that Barnsley will come and attack and try to win the game which just might give us a chance with our own attacking strengths
Barnsley are playing a straight 442 so not sure we can play a narrow diamond system otherwise we will be very open down the flanks .. 3-5-2 perhaps next week or match up and go 442 ourselves

I agree completely. Barnsley do appear to be this season’s stand out team. Next Saturday should be interesting. I have an intuition that we might play better against better sides this season. We’ll see. I’m not sure about the diamond either.

I fear for us next week to be honest, we concede too many goals against far inferior teams than Barnsley so they could take us to the cleaners next weekend. Brad Potts seems to be scoring a few goals for them too. He's a player I said we should go for last year when an unknown at Blackpool. intothevalley.proboards.com/thread/21143/2017-18-season-rumours-thread

It's certainly a very different challenge to playing mid-table sides of late such as Southend, Luton and Scunthorpe. We should have Bielik and Pratley available which will help straighten out our defence.
A big test for Bow as well as the start of the second quarter of the season. Or Bow's third set of games after the run in last season and the start this time.
Our 4-4-2 diamond is certainly at risk - is it too soon to talk of playing 4-2-3-1?!

George Moncur was different class in that first half yesterday lunchtime. Looking forward to this one though against a very good Barnsley team.

Barnsley looking really strong . Scoring goals , and not conceding many , it's going to be a big ask to get anything from this one . Moore is a threat at this level .
Come on Charlton , do your usual job of surprising us ,
