If Usmanov bought Charlton Athletic, could that mean David Dein in the board room and Arsene Wenger in the dug-out at the Valley?

If Usmanov bought Charlton Athletic, could that mean David Dein in the board room and Arsene Wenger in the dug-out at the Valley? No AW couldn’t manage at tier 2 let alone tier 3 of the EFL. Usmanov is not a Russian but (I think) a Uzbek. However he was another who gained his riches courtesy of Yeltsin when the mineral rights of the USSR were given away. In light of the deadly poison scandal it would be totally ironic if he purchased Roly’s share only then to have his assets frozen by our Govt!!!!

Why Everton players in particular?
I though Usmanove was interested in Charlton because he had decided not to invest in Everton...

Guys guys guys
Don’t want to say I was right again but hey .. told people of site about this family months ago , once Richard Harris returned the Aussies were concerned that he was not there to help but in fact set up his own takeover with this family who nephew was one of the investors in the Aussies group who has failed to see through his financial committee ... ...

Interesting article , that's being repeated from different sources now . Maybe a bidding war will help accelerate something finally happening . If , nothing else , it's made CL thousand pages of Aussie nonsense redundant .

But everything you've posted "on site" has eluded to the Aussies and only the Aussies taking over. In fact, according to you, the Aussies themselves were only told yesterday of another interested party! So which is it? Maybe you could check with your solicitor family member, or even your pal at the Travelodge and let us all know what's happening?

Richard Harris is a dead Irish actor. I think you mean Keith Harris ? Your credibility gets worse by the day. Give up.

Well, this is all exciting if it's true (not the most reliable sources but there are quite a few now suggesting this). I have to be honest, there have been months of rumours, so I', by no means getting ready to party just yet, but it does sound promising.

Would be fantastic if it happens, but I will get excited when it does. Of course being the UK's richest man with a personal fortune of £13.3bn would get me very excited.

An absentee Belgian, an Australian consortium, secret former Soviet businessman takeover rumours, dead Irish actor and a deceased puppeteer. All we need now is a murder and we have the basis for a thriller novel.

How great would it be to have a billionaire owner! What if he doesn't turn up to the games though ?
And what are his thoughts on recycling ?

20 Mil, has RD dropped his price? Problem is that no one, other than RD, has a clue what the price RD wants actually is? Club, ground, training ground, assets, debt, Directors loans...etc or maybe all, or even a combination of some. Whilst this is an interesting rumour, I think that one thing we should acknowledge, is that any figures being banded about, for the price, should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Bowyer, who was named as Duchatelet’s ninth permanent manager yesterday after six months in a caretaker role, told Standard Sport: “I spoke to him [Duchatelet] and he did mention the takeover. His words were, ‘It could happen within the next week but I’ve been thinking that for a long time’. It will get done.
