Personally don't agree with a blue seat, I'm sure as an addick he wouldn't want what would look like a millwall association. I think and upgraded seat with an engraving would be fitting or even a plaque in the east stand. Yes I did think that too, hence the emphasis on Met Police Blue, but not all football fans would recognise the difference. Personally I would not want to sit in that seat if it was the only seat available in the ground .. how about taking out the seat and replacing it with a plaque on the space it occupied? Just read back -- lovely idea treasure1 The Met blue is a great idea cindyblue how anyone would associate that with a different London Club I do not know. Keith Palmer gave his life wearing his blue Met Police uniform. The blue and white police checkered strip could be added. And the seat with a plaque remain unsold

Odd silence from the club on any tribute game. I assume the family are being consulted and probably have other things on their mind....anyone know when the funeral is ?

50 per cent of all ticket sales will be donated to the fund for hero Keith's family, while players will donate the entirety of their appearance fees Olly Groome reports Charlton Athletic’s home game against Milton Keynes Dons at The Valley on Tuesday, April 4th will be dedicated in the memory of loyal supporter PC Keith Palmer, who lost his life as a result of the terror incident in Westminster last week. The club will be donating 50 per cent of all ticket sales to Keith’s family, while Addicks players will also be donating the entirety of their match appearance fees. A one-minute silence will precede the game, while the match itself will see Charlton wear black armbands, as well as a special shirt which will be emblazoned with hero Keith’s Police warrant number, ‘P204752’, in tribute. Meanwhile, the club has been discussing ways in which Keith can be honoured with a permanent memorial at The Valley. While a red and white scarf will remain draped over his season-ticket seat in the East Stand until next Tuesday’s fixture, the red seat has been temporarily replaced by a white seat which will bear his warrant number and remain in place for the remainder of the season. Work will then begin on placing a permanent memorial stone for Keith which will be placed alongside existing memorials behind the Sam Bartram statue at the rear of The Valley’s West Stand. Charlton would like to thank all those supporters and members of the public who contacted the club with their ideas on how to pay tribute to Keith, all of which were taken into consideration. Supporters are invited to pay their respects to their fellow Addick by laying any flowers or other tributes at the foot of the Bartram statue and the club wish to extend the invite to attend Tuesday’s match to the wider football community for fans across London to stand together against acts of terror and to remember all those who have been affected by the incident in Westminster. *Note: The club had made initial plans for a one-minute applause to take place in memory of former Chairman and Director Mike Norris prior to the Milton Keynes Dons fixture. After discussions with the Norris family, it has been agreed that this will now take place prior to the fixture against Southend United on Saturday, April 8th. mobile.cafc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/charlton-mk-dons-keith-palmer-tribute-we-stand-together-3648353.aspx

RIP. Great touch by the club I must say. Respect them for that. True hero, gave his life to protect others. The man is and always will be a true hero. Thinkng of his family at this time. Would love to hear his name being sung in the ground and a massive turnout..

Well done Charlton and for calling on the wider football community to be there. It would be fantastic if for one night supporters wearing their own Club colours could stand together and be united against this terrible atrocity that occurred in our city.

Well done to the club. Sadly with this being a midweek game I will be unable to attend as I cannot get home by train and an overnight stay is out of the question due to work. I will however be there in spirit.

Yes I would trust that we will experience a special evening in honour of a proper gentleman in the wrong place but yet again in the right place, serving his people!

It'll be a moving occasion, for sure.
I suspect many fans became emotional when they heard the news about him being a ST holder, and seeing the image of a scarf draped over his seat. It'll be a great chance to pay our respects and I hope the crowd is way up on anything we've seen all season.

Guys I can only apologise for not removing Bexley's post as soon as it came on but like I have said before I simply cannot moderate this place 24 hours a day and have to put my trust in people to respect that and give me no need to.
Bexley has been spoken to because as many have said, this is not the thread to talk about anything else other than PC Keith Palmer.
Lardiman, sorry mate but as this has now been dealt with I have removed your thread too as your issue, a very valid one at that has been addressed.

Not seen this posted elsewhere so apologies if I am reposting.
PC Keith Palmer has posthumously received an award for bravery. I think the award is the George medal, but i maybe wrong.
I believe everybody will be saddened still that there is a need for this award wishing he was still here but proud that he is one of ours.

An extremely fitting tribute tonight to posthumously receive a Pride of Britain award for his bravery, giving his life to defend our country. A true hero who should always be remembered by the club and our Charlton family.

I think the club should have named a part of the ground in his honour by now - if his family were happy about it - I’d happily sit in the Keith Palmer Stand in lieu of the East
