Thanks, tomtom. Encouraging words and I'm looking forward to seeing what the lad can add to our attack. He has time on his side (someone said he's only 20 ?), he starts his Charlton career with a clean slate and I'm sure we will all get behind him.

Maybe if the addicts can get in the play offs the owner will have to switch to them as his main team Addicks not addicts mate although some of us are addicted to various things!

Reams although I appreciate you have a professional history in the game, even the top scouts get it wrong. I just think for a former professional you might be a little more knowledgeable about different players in different systems of play and how they work for some and not others (ie Torres at Chelsea). Also if you have a falling out with your boss(s) your hardly going to feel like giving your all irrespective of how much you are paid etc etc. Please don't feel that this is a dig or anything like that but unless we know the whole story regarding a player we can't really judge him until we see it for ourselves.

Well im willing to give him a chance but I have a horrible feeling hes going be another church promises the world and does fuck all!. If he settles down and works hard for the team scores goals like he did at celtic then we might just have a player on our hands but hes got to really want be here if any signs of shurking off and being lazy and uninterested I will sugest that peeters to terminate his oan I give him a month setlle in if no improvement by then I want know whats wrong with the player I want players who give 120% for the badg and course not shurkers like Harriott ,church etc who have let us down in the past.

Grant Holt out for nine months due to serious knee injury. I can't see Wigan releasing Andy Delort.

Since when did Church promise the world !!! I'm sure Peeters will be waiting for your advice on whether to continue with Watts loan or not (think not) great that you give him a month to settle sure he will appreciate that.

Ello lads hope you've all had a good crimbo, I haven't posted For quite some time now been busy with new job ect but always checkin for updates. I have seen that we were at Dundee United at the weekend watching Nadir Ciftci a forward for them, but they are quoting 3 million for him, he can score goals but not too sure if he would cut it at championship level and for that price we would be interested either, Us Huddersfield and Norwich were all there at the weekend watching.

Can he play against Blackburn? The window doesn't open till the 3rd Jan. If our CEO is a sensible person, which I gather she is, then she would have had the papers all ready signed and dated for the morning of the 3rd January I would presume.

We're said to be targeting striker Nadir Cifti from Dundee United, Celtic among other clubs who want him. But I doubt we'll be too interested in paying £3m for a SPL player. Source: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30639432

Good spot guys although they have no chance at £3m especially when Johnny Russell joined Derby County for a fee of around £750,000 from Dundee Utd last season.
If we have scouts up in Scotland I wouldn't mind Rangers winger David Templeton, he's a good player.

I must say I'm really intrigued about seeing what Watt has to offer in the cup on Saturday.
Which Tony Watt will turn up -
* the one who netted against Barcelona and we're told "will score goals with a capital G", "can really play", "is just what we need for a play-off push" and for whom success is so confidently predicted that there's 100 quid promised to a Charlton charity if he fails
* or the one we're told is knocked off the ball by the wind, has no pace, no ability, cannot take players on and is lightweight, lazy and disinterested.
I cannot ever remember any player arriving at Charlton with such divergent views about his worth and Watt's debut may well turn out to be the most interesting thing about Saturday's cup match. Fingers crossed for him (and us)!

apparently we are after a 17yo from Anderlecht - could that be Youri Tielemans or Aaron Leya Iseka I wonder ?

I'd say it's the striker rather than Tielemans, considering he costs about £10m. I
