Yes he made his international debut for Scotland, during their 3-1 defeat to the Czech Republic leading up to Euro 2008 .

Yes, worth a punt as you put it. Has a lot of potential, but Hearts handed him the captain's arm band last season and it affected his contribuition. Too young for that. Def. a good prospect and one for the future.
