Sorry I know it's a bit pathetic - and I may well end up eating my words with Palarse actually manage to score against us this season - but I was just looking back on the Planet Swans website to see if there were any interesting threads on us, and came across this article.

Fair enough opinion I thought - it'll certainly be a hard-fought battle at the Valley on opening day whatever the outcome. But then I compared his explanation for Crystal Palace being a key game to ours! It's not because they're a big club; it's not because they're good; hell, it's not even because they've got any redeeming features at all! It's because they're playing them before some tough opponents!
Omg, I laughed so much I nearly choked. For the record, Palarse ARE on my list of top games merely for the fact that they've not beaten us in the league for over 10 years, and however the season goes sooner or later we've got to slip up against them. And because their ground's shit; and because their Chairman's shit... AND their kit. Even the supermarket at the end of their ground is overrated and tacky. Hell, they make us look good even when WE'RE shit! ;D ;D ;D
