Obviously I see alot of coverage on the Welsh clubs up here plus the newspapers are predominantly Welsh too.
So we have missed out on some good wingers over the past weeks but there is still one left out there going for free in the next few days.
His name?........Andy Robinson of Swansea, a very good player set to join Leeds on a free next week which in my opinion would be another case of the one that got away.
Hoolahan, Commons and Robinson were all on the cheap shelf this summer and I can only say that we were not interested in any of them which beggars belief because the 3 of them will cause teams alot of problems in the Championship this season.
Sam, Thomas and Ambrose are not in the same league.

Reams, I respect your knowledge of lesser-known players as mine is terrible these days - but if he's a half decent winger, why in the hell is he dropping back down to League One when the Swans won the division last season? All I can keep thinking is that we have bigger fish to fry. I know we can debate this 'tll we're blue in the face, but I won't join the 'wtf is Pards doing while all the good players are passing us by' club until the season kicks off. He could sign 5 decent players in the next week for all I know. My only big gripe at the moment is that any players he does sign are losing out on precious 'settling in' time. I wouldn't want us to sign players right before the season starts only to have them look shite for three months while they achieve full fitness and familiarise themselves with the other players in the squad. Reams, I offer you my word that if we get to the eve of the season and Pards still hasn't delivered any decent signings, I will email you my application to join the 'wtf is Pards doing while all the good players are passing us by' club. We'll abbreviate it to WTFIPD and you can be president. ;D

Swordfish he is one of their best players and can only imagine that he is dropping down the league for more money, but Leed's are not exactly rolling in it so I am sure we could have competed for him even though we are a bit cash strapped.

i'm still holding out hope that Pards could secure us two/three good season long loan deals. Players like Eagles for example have the added benefit of Premiership experience.
I know loan signings are a risk, as sometimes you don't get the same level of commitment from the players, but they can turn out to be 'bargains of the season' too, eg. Campbell and Hull last year.

The general consensus down here is that it was purely for the money.
The last contract he signed 2 years ago was a drawn out and painful affair, which virtually destroyed his good rapport with the fans.
His agent dealt with the affair so badly that the club has now blacklisted him and refused to deal with him in the future.
He's been saying for years that his only ambition is to play in the championship. Now that we are finally here he buggers off!
Good player but frustratingly inconsistent. Will hold every club to ransom though as its all about the money for him. You're better off without him.
