At least we won't have any high expectations this season judging by Pard's inactivity in the transfer window thus far! Maybe if we expect a mediocre season then anything else will be a bonus!

If we are eventually going to sign some decent players then all good things come to those that wait but please let's not have anymore stupid comments like "Our season has finished earlier than we would have liked but it at least gives us a chance to steal a march on clubs for new players next season" as that kind of talk only creates anticipation that leads to disappointment.
Also even if there is no transfer activity at the moment, please give us something to at least be remotely interested in reading on the club's OS.
I have simply no interest in reading about, e-bay auctions, seat swaps, betfair prices for Euro 2008 and the tennis, cricket pictures, suites up for grabs etc etc.
Im not moaning at the guys who run it at all here I just think the club should be helping them with alot more interesting news or at least some features in some way.
I look at the OS of other clubs and at least they are creating a new season on the horizon feel to it, we haven't even seen Fleetwood in a red shirt yet!

disappointed to have missed out on him. Probably the first player i've seen transferred to another club who i really wanted at the valley.
The OS is rubbish, full of boring stories and debates on the merits of moaning. The forum is full of the biggest collection of pessimists and manic depressives i've ever seen. I'd rather see interviews with Hudson and Fleetwood and pictures of them wearing the shirt. It might be blatent propaganda, but at least it's a bit uplifting!

Wanted Premier League football and has signed for Norwich who play his style of football and believes that he'll achieve Premier League status with Norwich City.
Looking at the Clubs in the CCC, his dream of top flight football with the Norfolk club in all probability won't happen within the foreseeable future, unless of course, he's using Norwich as a stepping stone to greater things.

i can't believe he picked them purely for footballing reasons. Fair enough if they'd finished above us, but the buggers were one of the few teams worse than us last season!
Still like to see Gorkss at the valley.

This deal is taking the piss...
We hear all the right sounds coming out of charlton, we are ready for promotion, we are going to give it a go , we learnt from last season etc ect
Then a player comes on the market who despite losing 4-1 was the best player seen at the Valley last season for peanuts £250,000 and we dont go for him ....we are crying out for a decent winger or two and a midfielder who can create chances this bloke does all that and more...and yet we sit on our arses and do nothing
If we hope that Sam, Thomas and Ambrose are the answer well charlton last season proved they are not....we need better we deserve better from a board who don't seem to want to go back to the big time.....and are trying to get success on the cheap...well Hoolanlan was on the cheap..
i am very pissed off with this

It's not The Board, could be lack of funds as we have become a "sell first - buy later" Club, on the other hand, in May AP spouted that he was going to be pro-active in the transfer market and get a start on all the other clubs, the lack of new players only means that AP will be pro-active in the last week of August, ready to buy unfit players off the shelf.
