I'm for Weaver, but I like Randolph and Elliot a lot. If Weaver starts to look suspect, I'd drop him sooner rather than later for the good of the younger keepers' confidence.

not a fan of Weaver myself, don't really think he's stopped much that a conference goalie wouldnt have.
Not too sure about Randolph either and it's too early for Elliot, so i'd like to see us sign a young English keeper who could be the number 1 for a few years, eg. Dean Gerken from Colchester.

Our goalkeeping situation is similar to our forward one, enough numbers but short on quality.
Weaver is a good shot stopper but lacks agility and is suspect at crosses, Elliot has learning to do whilst Randolph is too short and is liable to a gaff or two as we saw last season.
Gerken is an excellent shout, failing that Foster on loan would be great.

I don't remember gaffes from Randolph last season. There was the incident when he dropped the ball into the net because Paddy got underneath him when he was up for a high ball but that's all. I think it's a bit harsh to blame that on Darren.

I think it's a defenders instinct to cover the post if he is uncertain that his keeper will make the aerial ball.
Id have done the same and swiftly moved off the post as soon as I'd heard the "keepers ball" shout which having read about the incident at the time because I wasn't there, didn't happen.
A keeper should demand his area but in saying that he was impressive at Anfield so only the powers within really know why he never moved on from that debut instead of being ousted as number 2 by Elliot.

Poor Darren! I hope he doesn't see this board, it won't do his confidence much good!

I saw Randolph play for Eire against England under 21 and he was hopeless, I know you can't judge on one game but he was awful
