England were quite shocking today in appealing against a NZ batsman to not be given out.
Sidebottom and a NZ batsman collided and both were on the floor but we played on and ran him out.
Very poor for the game and has done our name in cricket no favours at all.

Hmmm... Not my sport old fruit... And although I haven't seen the coverage, I can imagine that's viewed as scandalously as refusing to return the ball to a football team who's kicked the ball into touch because of an injured player and then scoring.
But I'd also imagine that's not the sort of scenario that happens a lot in cricket; and I have to say - in the heat of the moment - I could imagine a team playing on without thinking. I wouldn't blame them.
I think an apology would be in order certainly, and a need to set the precedent to avoid the same incident happening again.
Couldn't the umpire just overrule the decision and order the ball be re-bowled? That'd save all the blame being put on the players, anyway.

England captain has apologised at the after match interview.
Similar incident last year when Pietersson was bundled over in South ASfrica, with luck he will get his revenged in the forthcoming series.
