I wonder if they are sitting over steaming keyboards calling their players shit, their manager shit, their board shit and their chairman a greedy money-grabbing shyster.
That's what you do when you are losing at Bristol Rovers, isn't it?

Probably what they'll do if they ever lose at home to Orient and Brighton though!

you compare the clubs as equals then offy? No, I don't terry. But their fans probably have a more realistic expectation level than some of our fans. We've fallen a long way in a short time, but we are a two bob team in a two bob league. Just because we beat the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, etc, a few years back doesn't mean we should be expecting to steam-roller our way over teams and out of this division - as sad and as hard a thought that is. We're still up there in the mix - when many thought we wouldn't be - so it's still all to play for. No point writing ourselves off just yet.

No simple...they were not in the prem 3 years ago....and this to be honest is their level
Charlton should not be in this league, but we are due to poor management from the board room level....
You ask any Colchester fan and they would settile for going up and coming back down again that is the level or their expectations..

Probably depends on whether their players played shit (like ours did), their manager did a shit job on the day (like ours did) and whether their board is shit (like ours is).

But that's the point chaps - like it or not we ARE at "their level". Have a look at the table. Start by reading the name of the league at the top and then have a look at where both teams are.
Not a lot in it is there?
We WERE at a higher level and that is where we "should" be, but we're not.

That is very true Offit, but that fact often doesn't manifest itself in the minds of the management, board, players and fans alike.
Rightly or wrongly, boards, managers, players and fans alike all have different expectations during a season. The expectation level for us HAS to be promotion, so whenever it looks like we're falling short of that, it's annoying (to a lot of fans, anyway). I'd imagine at the start of the season Colchester would have taken a play-off place, so finding themselves in the play-off positions and then losing to Bristol isn't as much of a failure.
Arsenal fans probably find just as much to complain about as Bolton fans, even though they're in the same division.

But I haven't seen the Colchester chairman come out and say that if we don't go up, the liklihood is players will have to be sold!!

TBH I told give a rats arse about Colchester or there fans Dont get the point of this thread The "point" was that when we lost dowb there it was greeted with the standard howls of derision, slagging off of all and sundry and a clammour for peoples heads - when in actual fact BR are a decent side on their day, particularly at home, as Col U found out. And that's the same Col U who were apparently nailed on to finish above us. They still might, but the point is that there is still a way to go with plenty of twists and turns yet. Anyway, who said you had to have a "point" to post anything on here anyway? Is that a new rule? If it is it would make life pretty interesting!

I can take defeat anywhere offit just as long as we put a shift in but we didn't did we we just rolled over an that's the difference, we made Rovers look better than they are, yes they are a decent side at home but no more than that as Walsall and Wycombe proved in the week prior to us going there..............Just for the recored they both won and both fully deserved it, reward for their hard work and endeavour was what I read at the time.
Yes we did it at Southend but we have to be more consistent like the other sides around us, take Swindon for example 1 efeat in 18 games just at the right time of the season too.
