Enjoyable game today helped as both teams tried to play football and a decent ref who kept the game flowing. In fact I might be wrong, but I didn't notice a free kick for a foul until 32 mins. Top of the tree today was Reid who they just couldn' t handle at times. Actually apart from his great strike for the goal when he should have passed! Llera an excellent game for me and used the ball well. Very good debut from new boy Jackson' who clearly loves to get forward. Racon much more comfortable in the middle. We still looked susceptible on the break in the 1st half particularly, and Elliott had to be on his game at times. Disappointing for me was the Burton/Mooney partnership, despite Mooney's good strike. Didn't look like a confident striker to me, as he often dithered in good positions. Burton was OK but lets Mooney do all his movement for him. Really surprised that Parky didn't freshen up the strikers on 70 mins or at all. Still good win and most importantly a clean sheet.

Thanks for that mstone. I wasn't at the game but just listening to the commentary was again enough to tell me that our strikers are what is going to hold us back, Burton in my book is finished, no movement and far too slow, it is frightening though that the only other options are McKenzie and Sodje who are totally useless. We need a striker or two in very quickly, Sodje has been a waste of a loan and McKenzie a waste of time.

I would put McKenzie up front with Shelvey behind him on Tuesday, but it won't happen Burton has clearly got something on Parky. As LB says we haven't really seen much of McKenzie and most of it has been out on the left for 20 minutes.

Thought we looked much sharper today, thankfully. We were always trying to get in behind them and did so on numerous occassions.
Elliott kept us from going behind on a couple of occassions with good stops, Jackson looks like a good (loan) signing and thought Reid had a really good game too, though faded a bit towards the end (understandably, given the amount of running he did). Mooney ran his socks off again and took his goal really well.
All in all a good game and a good result. Not much to moan about really - and other results went our way too. Bring on Tuesday.

..........".but it won't happen Burton has clearly got something on Parky".......
Must be a new Policy as we are low on finances, players like Burton pay the club if they play and it showed today as he chased a few lost causes but spent most of the afternoon dawdling around the pitch. On a scale of 1 to 10 he would rate a 5 at best.
