Like a reliable centre half, a goalscorer and a midfielder who makes the midfield area his own and who gets his head down and drives forward.
We dodn't have any of those and won't get them either until we have money to spend, what division we'll be in by then is the problem though.

I was thinking about this on the bog this morning. How are we different from the beginning of the season. It's not centre back, it's as you say a midfielder who drives forward, breaks through a challenge and links up with the forwards. Racon did that early this season but seems incapable now. Our forwards seem crap, but most of the time they are isolated feeding off long balls. Likewise Sam looked dangerous when we got the ball to him, but we were relying on 40 yd wonder balls all the time to him.

You only have to look at Carlisle United to see what a good blend of experience, youth and good players can bring.
Ian Harte 13 goals form defence this season says it all and I would have him and Graham Kavanagh in my Charlton team all day long.

But we had this at the beginning of the season, and in fact still do, but that blend seems to have gone awol.
