Noticed a very definite air of gloom amongst many bloggers both here and on other popular CAFC sites. The mood on these cold miserable winter days is best summarised by LUFC and Narridge have the cash to strengthen whilst we are skint and could face admin in the summer if we don't go up; LUFC and budgies will take the automatic promo places and because our lads are a bunch of bottlers we will miss out on the playoff birth at the hands of SAP or the spanners.
Now this is all in the future and may or may not happen but all I do know is that we are joint 2nd just 3 points off the leaders; the manager has created a good spirit within a talented squad; no one is really spending but - fingers + - we ain't selling so why are we in a worse position that the competition who all have to come to SE7 in April/May?
So maybe we are just indulging in the usual English tradition of expecting the worst just in case it materialises whilst very privately hoping for the best
I'm sure that if we are honest not many of us had us down as being 3 points off the top when we made our way to the season opener against the chairboys in August so maybe we should just enjoy the ride and see what occurs with a slightly less negative tone.
Am sure most of us log in to Wyn Grant's insightful musings and if 50% of his recent comments relating to the financial situation in East Anglia is true then I would rather be in our position and not theirs any day of the week.
Yeah sure we would wish to strengthen and there are another 91 clubs in the same boat and sure we have too many centre mids and not enough left sided wide men or 30 goal strikers but our goals for column still looks good and remember that at this stage in the season its the 3 points that counts not sexy football.
So constructive criticism is fine but continual gloom and doom ain't going to get us promotion back to the fizzy pop league.
Now I have got that off my chest tempted to have a moan about not having a game to go to this afternoon
