Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has confirmed to BBC London 94.9 that wage payments to players, staff and management are set to be delayed.
An emergency meeting was called following Saturday's 3-0 win against Watford to break the news to the squad.

I know that this site has criticised the Board re investment etc, but at least we're not in the same shambolic state as the Pyjama Boys and that is to their credit

Agreed. And by rights, we should be in a much worse state than they are. But we're still outselling them most weeks, and we're still capable of paying the staff that work and play for us every week. I'm under no illusions as to the size of the task that still faces us - it stands to reason that the step back up to the Championship is still tiny compared to the step back to the Premier League, so we can expect no 'quick money fix' if we DO hold out for promotion this season - but I take some comfort from the reality that we're ALREADY in a better financial position than Palarse are, despite being in a lower league position. We could be a lot stronger in the future for this experience... But there's so far to go, it'd be ridiculous to try and take it for granted at this point. Because on the flip side of the coin - if we DON'T go up and no-one takes us over - it will only get worse.
