Keep an eye on this, I see Chris Powell as a potential future Charlton manager if he does well

surely can't do any worse than the Barnes/McAteer shambles. Also puts an end to any of the crap, "it's cos i'm black" excuses which Barnes has used in the past

In McAteer's case though admittedly there is some "racism" of sorts "cause you're a thick scouse" wouldn't you say? Show me one that ain't and doesn't begin every sentence "errm" (or alternatively "it wasn't me!") I don't imagine Powell to be in the running at all and this is bexleyboy dreaming-up something re the colour card and it ain't funny. Powelly is far too nice to be a manager and Newts is far too thick...then again he'd fit in up there! This topic is just a bexleyboy load of bollox. No offence meant bb because I enjoy your inane posts but c'mon mate this ain't up to your usual high standard of rubbish! Must do better. lol

And end their sentence in “It’s meee rights” Does anybody really know who & what makes a good manager? Powell the nice bloke, who the fans loved… Is that it? What else? Roy Keane, How many wanted him as our manager? His name wouldn't crop up right now, would it? Fickle football fans! Maradona? One of the world’s greatest players, now making such a mess as manager... If Bexleyboy was Argentinean, even Google wouldn’t be able to handle the “Maradona Out” threads…

I never heard anyone asking for Keane to be our manager

I'm sure his name cropped up in some of the "Parky Out" threads, along with Ince, Marinez, Dicanio, Uncle Tom Cobley and all...

i was one of the ones who mentioned his name after Pardew went. You live and learn though True what you say about not knowing what makes a good manager. I always thought he would do alright, but maybe he's too much of an aggressive prick to get any respect from his players

Aggressive nature with very little to back it up
