Will the new players this summer be the type we can all get excited about so that we can have a promotion pushing side that resembles the ones we have had in the past or do you fear that they could be the type of player that play the game the way Pardew wants it played?
I hope it is the first option, we want to see players who have come to the Valley this season and raised an eyebrow or two, players who are tried and tested and we know what we are getting, I want to see a dead ball specialist and not a kick and hoper, I want to see a striker who wants the ball played into feet and not hoofed up in the air and I want to see box to box midfielders who can get amongst the goals and who drive forward and not sideways.
Finally I want to see a central defender who can get on the end of a corner.
That's all really but will we get them?
