Imagine what an achievement it would be if Parky managed to beat the club record of 12 straight wins that Curbs set in our Championship-winning season! Now I'm not getting carried away about it because - Jesus - we're not even halfway there yet... But he's an unfashionable, generally unknown manager who's got relegated with us to the third tier of the English game for the first time in just shy of 3 decades.
It took Curbs years to build us a team good enough to set that record, and when he did, every supporter was reflecting how apt it was that he was the man to do it; he'd worked hard, been through the bad times and scratched together a top team from bargain bins and the academy... How amazing then, if Parky could do it - BANG! - at the start of his first full season!
Still, it's only a pipe dream at the moment, and not even worth considering realistically... The next order of business is the Home game against Brentford.
Is it our big chance to showcase our talents to the nation? Is it going to be our BIG MOMENT to shine? Will it be the point where Sky says 'these lot are actually quite good - let's give them another 4 live matches'?
Or will we die on TV like we have done in previous seasons when the Cameras finally roll up in SE7?
