Just scored a corker against Norwich, can't get in the side normally, Black Cats playing 9 reserves tonight and he is one of them. Get him back I tell you get him back

worst decision the Board made, letting him go, apparently he was happy to stay. All downhill since then.

Agreed, but I understand that he understood that he was still under contract and would have stayed. Play offs to mid-table obscurity to relegation in double quick time.

good effort, but as somebody pointed out on the web, a pro athlete should never have that much weight to lose

at the time the cash we received was something we could not turn down. It was a good business decision at the time. Paid gbp3M, had half a season of him first year, half a season from him 2nd year & in January sold for gbp4.1M
i know the drop we have seen since but at the time all agreed that the fee was good business to be used on 2 or 3 players to improve the squad. Obviously we know now that the cash was not reinvested.

worst decision the Board made, letting him go, apparently he was happy to stay. All downhill since then. WAS he happy to stay? When we sold him, it was put to us that he was desperate to talk to Roy Keane and we couldn't deny him the chance. If the board pushed him out for the quick payment, it's unforgivable. At the time, I said that even if he was DESPERATE to talk to Keane, it would have been perfectly fair to tell him to wait to the end of the season. Maybe then we'd have made the Play-Offs instead of resuming the slide... On the upside though, at least we got shot of the useless c*nt we had in charge of the team.
