I really can’t be fucking bothered with this club anymore. It’s cursed, that’s the only conclusion I can draw with all the evidence on offer. This is a fucking disaster. I’m gutted for the fella.

That's devastating news but it's become the norm at Charlton Athletic

That's devastating news but it's become the norm at Charlton Athletic Tbf, I think it’s the norm for football. Talk to any team really.

Massive blow, especially after the way he played against Birmingham. Stuck with Watson or REG I guess

Yes it happens to all teams but unfortunately our back up players are simply not good enough and when we rely so heavily on the 4-5 decent players that we have once you lose a couple in the back four unfortunately you are going to be defensively fragile like we were up at Barnsley and we will continue to be fragile and concede goals until either Jones returns or we resolve this issue in January Prior to Jones rocking up we recruited bits and pieces players like REG and players like Gillesphey who has major mobility issues at this level and simply cannot play in a two…..We didn’t recruit that third quality aerially dominant centre back in the summer when it was plain to see that this and a creative midfielder was required……..but it looks like the budget didn’t allow and when it did we spent it in the Luton trio….……..

I can't argue with that as I agree!
