You have got to ask the questions on the players we bought in the summer. All our midfielders are the same sort of player. You have Doc, Campbell and Berry proabley our 3 top earners are either on the bench or being hooked at half-time or after 60 mins. What does that say.

I think the big difference is that I can’t see this squad falling into a relegation battle, which we did last season. However, we do not look like we are going to have enough to finish top six unless some changes are made.
Those changes are recruitment in January and, more significantly, the manager needs to be able do drop any and all of the Academy players. The suggestion that it is one of his KPIs to develop so many players was confirmed by Charlie Methven last year. Unless that has changed we are going to struggle to finish top six. Many of the Academy players are not, yet, ready to play for a top six side. The worst thing is that I don’t think their resale value is going to be more than the losses we are making all the while we are developing them.
It’s all very good having one of the best Academies in the country but if it costs more to run it than we can realise selling players and/or if playing the players we are going to be stuck in the third division it looks a little pointless.

Jeez if Doc and Campbell are two of our biggest earners that is pretty scary recruitment stuff…..at least Berry knows where the onion bag is…. So are we saying we had a big wage budget still available which we spent on Allan Campbell rather than the quality of Humphry who was head and shoulders the best player on the park last night and who was available on a free in the summer…… I see Jones is now coming out saying Berry has been unlucky not to start…..no shit Sherlock…… he looks the only midfielder we have with any goals in him but instead we have had Anderson running around giving the ball away just to tick a KPI box…..fantastic……..

Wait, Nathan said he wouldn't get the line up wrong again... I tend to agree with the other comments where it's suggested we have improved, but not significantly at all. It's minimal. We aren't threathening top 6 any time soon. I think this KPI (assuming it exists) on Academy players playing time is incredibly short sighted and detremental to us as a team overall. We never required this before to produce the talent we have. Why now?

Whether on merit is open for debate, but such fine margins could determine whether we ultimately succeed or fail this season.

So this will set the cat amongst the pigeons Brad…🤣……I could never get my head around why the budget seemingly was blown after the initial 7 came in in July…….Well if this is true it looks like we spunked it all on high wages for players that can’t actually get in the side……and to think there were quality players like Keillor-Dunne, Louie Barry, Macatee, and Humphry all available in the summer if paid the going rate…..and our fans were in uproar previously about Fraser and Aneke alledegedy earning 6-7k a week……..I think I need to go for a lie down now 😫😫🤣

If true, then Charlie and Co have a lot to answer for!!

Think was pushed by the board to say get over Dobson and tried to make a statement the same time Dobson signed for Wrexham, even tho Charlton was given the final chance the morning he traveled to sign with them. That's not to say some of Jones signings hasn't got Marks against them.

Think us as fans are currently blinded by the table at the moment and our current position. In the last few seasons we have not had a squad who have been near the playoffs. We may have the same points as last year but was nowhere near the top 6. We are currently one point off 6th, two off 5th and 6 off 2nd place. Win against Wrexham and that becomes 3. The league table is so congested to the point that had we won last night we were 5th and by drawing we are 11th. 5 teams are on 19 points, 3 are on 18 points. Bolton are below us, so have they got worse or have we improved?
When the season started we all wanted to be in around the promotion race. We are. But because we arent in that top 6 people are saying its no better. But reality is up to 12 teams at the moment are in the mix, and we are one of them.
I went last night and whilst disappointed we did not win i think under the circumstances thats a point gained. Last season we would have lost that all day long.
The season is only 12 games in. We have had a decent quarter and could be better come 5 o clock Saturday.

We have certainly had a decent start, we're in the top six for a few minutes (!) and the switch to 4-4-2 has led to better football. Plus Leaburn started a game last night. And yet some of these ex Luton signings aren't consistent and don't impact the games enough. Ideally there's a healthy discussion within the club about how to proceed for now, and again in January.

We can provide a list if he likes: Edun Gillesphey Hylton Potts (Assuming he gets no games until January) A Campbell (if he doesn't improve) ... Weren't Potts and Hylton only on short term contracts? And Edun simply never features. As posted before, the SMT and football mgt need to take a long hard look at the squad end November. Work out which Academy players are really contributing... and what additional talent we require to push on... Less 8-8-8, more a realisation that we need more talent, and that a failure to challenge for the play-offs is not acceptable to all stakeholders at the club.
