Last year of contract

We have to resolve the contracts of these players by January:

Lloyd Jones
Zach Mitchell
Thierry Small (I don’t think he’s as good as some think but definitely worth keeping. He could reach that potential)
Chuks Aneke - Appearance based contract?
Miles Leaburn

This is question we should’ve been asking at the recent meeting with CM and GC at Bromley Addicks imo.

I'd be disappointed if talks aren't already underway with Jones,been superb.

Small again has huge potential and his agent should advise him to take the deal on offer and realise that potential.

I'm quite stunned to learn that Henry has a one year option and Leaburn doesn't!

I'm not sure that any of those players, save for Leaburn, are irreplaceable. Jones has looked good and I'd be happy for him to stay and I think that Zach Mitchell is going to be worth tying down to a longer deal but I suspect that there will not be many suitors that we have to worry about if we leave it until the end of the season.

Clearly Leaburn is going to go on to much better things than League One, but I think the issue here is going to be what he would be willing to sign, and what we would have to pay him and agree to, in terms of a release clause.

I’m hopeful Leaburn signs a new contract with a solid minimum fee release.

Zach has impressed when I’ve seen him, so we should tie him down asap as well.
