No doubt they'll have to come off after an hour but it's clear to me that they are impact players so why not let them try and make that impact from the first whistle instead of when it's too late and we are chasing games.
We all know they'll only last an hour but giving Chuks and Miles a half each has to be the way to go.
Ahadme works hard but it's just not happening for him because of a lack of service. Godden and Aneke are more comfortable with the ball to feet and create chances for themselves when there's nothing coming in from the flanks.

Spoke to Scott Minto at Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup on Monday. I said to him about not bringing in an attacking midfielder. And Jones was probably relying on Leaburn etc.His words were it would take 2 to 3 mouths to get back to match sharpness. With the injury Miles had .

I think Leaburn and Godden personally. Chuks getting injured right now would sum it all up though.
The issue is how we are set up to play though. CB’s lumping the ball up to Ahadme (Ipswich have pulled out trousers right down here) whilst the midfield chase shadows.

Sorry confused by this from SM…., Leaburn isn’t an attacking midfielder…….Keiilor-Dunne, Macatee, Louie Barry were all available but we wouldn’t spend the money……We spent our budget on players like Berry, Campbell and Docherty….all players that struggled to get game time for their previous clubs rather than quality Marquee style players that could take us up to a top 6 position…..I am still struggling to understand how some posters thought we were promotion matierial, my alarm bells went off big time in July when all the budget seemed to have gone on the initial 7 that came in….

Sorry to upset his supporters but Ahadme has shown next to nothing and it really cannot all be blamed on the service he is getting. He is useless when he gets the ball.

Nathan has to stop starting TC, Anderson and Ahadme.
TC - Has TC even had an assist this season? He’s not a striker. At times he’s barely a winger. A gun with blanks. Looks threatening but never does any damage.
Anderson - Does anyone out there still rate him? I’d love to know what you see if so. Take away the fact he’s from our academy. Let’s say we signed him this summer on a free. Who’s squad does he get into?
Ahadme - He tries hard. That’s all I’ve got. Looks an athlete not a footballer. Maybe should try Triathalon or something. Doesn’t stop running.

We are getting limited with who we can start up front with now. Once again Campbell proved he is not a striker and Leaburn will not be fit enough and will be rusty for a few more games yet. However, with Leaburn on the bench that leaves Kanu out in the cold. So we are left with two from Godden, Aneke and Adhadme and after tonight's game I would agree it has to be Godden and Chucks. Whilst I want to like Adhadme I just don't see a footballer there. He runs around a lot falls over a lot and whilst he doesn't get alot of service his actual contribution is minimal. Both Godden and Aneke made things happen when they came on I'm afraid Adhadme didn't. I agree that with those two starting both would not last 90mins, and Aneke probably not much past half time but Leaburn and Campbell would be very good subs to bring on.

If Godden can't play more than an hour, why did we sign him?

Bullshit that we paid one million for him. Another leaked lie. Aka Coventry as well. It's a well known fact the Coventry cost nothing. Not sure where you get the term 'leaked lie' from. Ahadme cost around 600k.

Godden and Aneke are more comfortable with the ball to feet and create chances for themselves when there's nothing coming in from the flanks. Jones has certainly got to try something. His game plan is exactly the one he used at Luton in his second spell there. Get the ball forward quickly, lump it long and try to win second balls. Unfortunately, Ahadme, who is working very hard, doesn’t appear to have the physicality and brute force to play the role of primary target man in this system. Aneke clearly does though, even if he’s likely to give away lots of fouls. Godden has the experience to make a nuisance of himself and the awareness to find space and feed off scraps. The two have already combined for two well worked goals and it must make sense to give them an opportunity to start together. The fact our next four games are going to be very tough might mean there’s not much to lose. It might then be interesting to see what Ahadme can do coming on later in the game, While we don’t really want Jones to start “tinkering” he’s simply got to experiment or we’ll keep sinking.

This……100%……….Adhadme looks a completely different player to the player that bullied us at Valley last season for Cambridge….admittedly they had players like Brophy who could actually put in a decent cross and he was up against Tyrell Thomas…. Would Anderson, TC or Kanu honestly into any other top half league one side? if the answer is no then what the fuck are they playing week in week out for us…..beggars belief?…

I'm with Reams, Godden and Aneke have to be the starting pair. When they tire they can be replaced depending on how the game is going.
We need to be on the front foot right from the first minute.

It won't happen but I like the idea. Godden is old and Aneke injury prone. If Godden knows he is playing just a half he doesn't have to preserve energy and will play like a younger version of himself.

But if we’re losing at the 60 minute we might as well go home.

My worry with starting with Aneke is that he ambles around and never seems to run much. I'm not sure that he would be anywhere near as effective, at the start of a game, when the opposition haven't been exposed to long balls for 60 minutes. Not only will he offer less starting, we won't have him to being on for the last 20 minutes, or so.
In truth Aneke is a shadow of the player that he was in 2020/21 when he scored 15 goals in 1,500 minutes.
The other worry is that if he does start games he is more likely to get injured. If we lost him now, with Leaburn nowhere near 100%, we could be in real trouble.

Probably got more chance of scoring first for a change with this set up , But let’s be honest we just ain’t good enough half the team can’t even put in 90 minutes absolute shambles of recruitment piss poor budget by the looks of it., just reading what Birmingham have spent mind blowing proper billionaire owners spending proper money not peanuts. this mishmash of owners is never going to work.

Agreed but some on here would say we have a top 4 budget……personally I find that statement absolutely staggering…..😳 We exited around 15 player salaries in the summer and brought in 7 before the stagnation occurred……and the 7 were certainly no marquee signings were they……🤔🤔🤔🤔
