Always thought he was a good player. Shame for some reason couldn't quite produce it for us

He had talent, but was one of the least athletic footballers I can remember. Hope he gets his career back on track elsewhere.

I wonder what % of his contract we ended up paying off. Assuming he was on about 6k a week and no other club would pay him more than 2k, that's about a £180k difference. I'm guessing we paid him most of that to leave (and it will included in our wage bill for SCMP purposes).

I see Luton have just mutual consented (ie paid off) Louie Watson and Ipswich have done likewise with Freddie Ladapo, so we weren't only ones struggling to move players on.
