GEOFF Billingsley is a member of the new Charlton Athletic Fans' Forum, which meets regularly with the club’s hierarchy to raise supporters’ concerns about life at The Valley.
The Woolwich-based Addick will be regularly reporting for News Shopper on what goes on at the meetings and today delivers the latest instalment of his column.
IT has been two weeks since I wrote for News Shopper and I am pleased to report it is quite likely we will hear some detail this week re the long protracted takeover - and it really is about time, isn't it?
To be fair to the directors, they have found themselves in a very difficult position with confidentiality clauses and have not been able to say very much at all about the new investment.
But all being well, we will hear some detail, possibly very early this week, to confirm the situation in SE7.

Hope this is true, either way, good or bad it’ll finally give us some indication of what shape the squad will take … These two league wins have been uplifting, but we all know, none more so than Parky, that this “squad has holes“, and they need to get filled soon. A few injuries in certain areas, and we’ll be found out… He needs to get on and do his job, and whatever anybody thinks about him, let’s face it, he hasn’t really been given the chance to do that properly yet, has he?

Well, I was at the pub on Friday with none other than the infamous Lord Lucan. He divulged to me that not only was he the fourth official at Bristol City on Saturday, but also that he was good friends with Michael Gliksten. Apparently his death was a smokescreen to prevent anyone finding out that he's the mystery buyer. He wants to move us to the Den and sell the Valley for public toilets. Oh, and in case you're wondering, he didn't see the Palarse 'goal' at City because of the reflected glare off Simon Jordan's face.

On a serious note, thanks for this post; I can't wait for news and I really hope this goes through ok. I'm just feeling really sarcastic and I can't stop thinking about those two tw*ts at Palarse throwing their toys out of their pram like they did.

Ending up with another penny pincher, like Gliksten... I'd rather have Murray & Co. stay.... What the hell am I saying...
