That doesn't make any sense to me. Presumably he has been involved with the summer transfer activity and now they need to find a new manager to work with the squad he assembled.
I know they were convincingly beaten on Friday evening but Sheff United were in the Premier League last season, and finished second the season before so it's hardly a bad result.
Maybe, in due course, we will hear more about it but, for now, it doesn't make sense to me.

Lowe asked to leave, after a difficult end of last season and with the result on Friday it sounds like the home fans made their feelings clear and Lowe decided to walk away feeling he had taken them as far as he could.

Also they can't ban out of work Managers taking a new job so it will only stop poaching someone else's Manager. It will, also, not stop 'new Managers' from 'consulting until the new window opens and they can start officially. |
