AFC Wimbledon closing on former Swindon and Charlton goalkeeper deal

AFC Wimbledon are closing in on a deal to sign free agent goalkeeper Lewis Ward.
The South London Press understands that the 27-year-old is poised to head with the Dons to their pre-season warm weather training camp in Spain.

Interesting to see quite a few teams like Crawley, Shrewsbury, Northampton, Orient etc….have lost very key players from last season which provided them with pretty solid seasons..
Orient for instance have lost their two key players and have brought in the likes of Piggot , DJ and players on trial like Matt Penney….which doesn’t bode well for them….
I can see a split in league one between the decent top ten sides and everything else below scrapping for points against each other……..bigger playing budgets for clubs in league one have made this league an even bigger uneven playing field……

Not transfer related but fair play to Orient for taking over a 1000 fans up to Edinburgh yesterday to watch their team in a pre season friendly against Hearts…….
Worryingly for them they had Matt Penny trialling for them at left back 🤣🤣
