I have followed into the Valley for a long time now. I think it is brilliant. I am now a new member to the site.
I am very concerned regarding the Valley express for next season as the club have been saying that it is under review. I have used this service for the whole of this season. The first game v Orient the coach was full, but as the season progressed the numbers understandably dropped along with the gates due to the poor performance of the team.
Those who continued to attend and use VE are mostly ardent fans. Having spoken to many of the users from different pick up points many say if the service is discontinued then they will no longer renew their season tickets. I have phoned the box office on several occasions and I get the same answer that no decision has been made. Some of the users are in their 80s and either can't drive any more and those who can can't manage the walk to the ground due to the parking around the Valley. Train fares are so expensive when coming in from a distance.
The lower price season ticket prices will end soon so l hope the club gets its act together and makes a decision before the first cut off date.
Although Charlton have may have possibly made a loss last season with the coaches, a successful team on the pitch will bring back the support both in the Valley and Valley express.
The club stand to lose alot of season tickets and long term supporters so both fans and club will be the loser.
