One of the best young players, that I have seen at Charlton for many years.

I have a sneaky feeling that the players Agent will encourage him to refuse to sign a longer contract and look for a payday next summer when he can leave on a free.

Personally I would be surprised if he signed a long term contract….Ability wise he is too good for league one…..He may wait and see what players we bring in and decide if he wants to be part of the long term plan…..You can tell by his body language and interactions with the crowd that he is really enjoying his time at the club….Above all money talks, a lot will depend on if his agent thinks the money we are offering is right or not |

Long term deals can come with clauses e.g. we must sell to a Premier League club if one wants to buy and offers a certain amount in transfer fee, possibly with add-ons.
And long can mean 3 years. It's also a risk as he may get injured and not be the same player after that

He’s good but I do think some are getting a bit carried away with his current ability. He’s still very raw. Makes quite a lot of mistakes. End product isn’t always there.
He has got potential to play higher. So he’s ideal for us. He needs to continue to perform and improve though.
