That escalated quickly.. Leam Richardson sacked and now Steve Evans has left Stevenage to go to Rotherham who are already relegated.

That was an Exocet from left field….. if I recall correctly, Richardson turned down CAFC post Appleton…I think it was an interview stage……

Very interesting. How do you win promotion from League One in each of the last four seasons you’ve played at that level without spending (and losing) any money? You play direct, in the face, high intensity football. And for that you need the right manager.
For his part Steve Evans will know, despite the financial restrictions he’ll face at Rotherham, that a return to Yorkshire will improve his chances of another promotion. He leaves Stevenage with a 47.5% win rate.
Another reason to believe that League One could well be highly competitive next season.
