It’s such a shame Charlton TV will stop because of this. I always enjoy listening to Charlotte,Scott, Brownie, Lisbie, Curbs and other guests who come on to the show. Even when we lose I still enjoy listening to their insights of the game.

No more 3pm Saturday streaming?. Assume you didn't click on the "More info" link? www.efl.com/news/2023/may/efl-and-sky-sports-broadcast-rights-agreement/Looks like a lot of games will still be available. Also an increase in revenue? Which I guess is one of few good things that could come out of this. I'm certainly going to miss Charlton TV. Great product at the moment. This feels like a step backwards.

As an overseas fan I'm hoping that we will still be able to watch the lads as since emigrating in 2002 its the only thing that keeps me sane believe it or not

International streaming will still be available, which means that UK streaming with a VPN will still be available. It also means that the hooky services that are about £5 a month will still be showing all football games.
The biggest concern for me is that, on average, League One clubs will be live on Sky Sports sixteen times next season. On the basis that we are one of the bigger clubs in League One, and have a better than average stadium, I expect that, at least, eight games at The Valley will be live, many of which will be moved from a 3pm Saturday kick-off to one of the new times that Sky don't seem to have announced yet. I know it makes me sound like a luddite but I like the traditional 3pm Saturday kick-off.
I know that the club will get more money but I don't see them giving any of that money back to fans - we haven't seen any ticket prices reduce, quite the opposite. The extra money will, mostly, end up in the pockets of the players and it won't make us any more able to sign players as all the clubs will have more money. We will see a one off increase in transfer fees and wages and then the extra money will all be gone and we will be dragging ourselves to games at times that cause us domestic grief, or we'll end up watching it on the tele.
I, honestly, don't know why they don't just scrap the Saturday 3pm blackout and sell the whole game to Sky. They pretty much own most of at this point. Then us fans that prefer to watch the games live can go at 3pm on a Saturday and those that want to watch at home can do so without the hassle of a VPN.

Very helpful summary kings hill addick I’m a bit bothered about kick off times too. There is a fair chance we’ll see a lot of our 3pm home matches moved. 12.15 on a Saturday would be OK. 5.15 or 5.30 less so. Sundays, it depends.

I suspect that there might be some Friday, Saturday and Monday evening games, too. Those slots have been used in the past and they are going to struggle to find ten slots over the weekend and, I imagine, Sky would prefer not to have two games on at the same time, competing for ratings.

Less 3pm Saturday games will equate to lower gates and an increase in Firesticks where already 25% of households are using one.

Perhaps some of the kick off times will coincide with times when one can park the car near The Valley without risking a parking ticket I hope they don't disband the whole Charlton TV panel as there is certainly merit in the likes of Minto and Curbs opining upon players, tactics and the direction of our club. And ideally we will be watching our club on the up again after years of mid-table rubbish.

I know several lifelong fans who have given up driving to the Valley this season since Labour Greenwich Council decided to fleece motorists parking around the Valley yet again. There’s a direct correlation between ease/ cost of journey >>> whether you bother.
