Although this was filmed last summer, it's yet to be aired on TV. Could it be that Nathan Jones caught wind of it a few weeks before everyone else and has basically dropped the guy with a decision to be made on his future over the summer? Seems harsh but Nathan is a strict disciplinarian and won't have taken to kindly to this. chicagoaddick.com/2024/04/06/lloyd-jones-injection/#more-30619

I have no idea what 'Love Undercover' is, but it doesn't sound like the sort of thing a hardcore Jesus lover like NJ would approve of.

Absolutely cringeworthy obviously but entirely inappropriate for NJ to potentially allow his religious views to influence his judgment of players (not suggesting he has in this instance).

“Yet to be aired on TV” - I wonder why? What a load of old toss

I can’t imagine so. I’d guess he has an injury / recovering from ann ongoing issue and not worth risking playing when we are now safe.

It's basically Love Island based in the USA where the girls have no idea the boys are current(or ex) footballers - i.e. no idea they're wealthy etc. Don't think it's anything crude and pretty sure it won't conflict too harshly with Jones' belief system - even more sure he wouldn't let it stop him from picking his best 11.

By LA standards he definitely isn't wealthy 😂

By LA standards he definitely isn't wealthy 😂 I know, so at the end when it’s the grand reveal “I play for Charlton having signed from Cambridge”…. The reaction surely will be really? That’s nice …, wtf?

This must be the programme that Jamie O’Hara mentions he’s filmed in America.when he’s on TalkSPORT

I've just Googled this show (I don't watch TV, particularly not reality TV, but do work in the industry so am nosey).
Good Lawd does it look low budget if the 'stars' are anything to go by.
Remarkably, Lloyd Jones is actually the MOST HIGH PROFILE based on current level of play (rather than past history).
The other four contestants are as follows:
Jamie O'Hara - radio rentagob whose last actual football was three years at Billericay Town ending in 2020.
Ryan Babel - Dutch winger who retired last summer. He started out at Ajax but most recently was with a Turkish side who play in lavender shirts in a 2,500 capacity stadium (average attendance last season: 53 and no I haven't missed off a number.)
Marco Fabian - Mexican who plays for Empire Strykers, a team from the California village of Ontario which plays in an indoor exhibition league.
Sebastian Fassi - Mexican goalie whose last club (Spanish non-league side La Nucia) released him six months ago.
Compared to the other four Lloyd Jones is pretty much Harry Kane in terms of current sporting profile!
