Uni research on football's response to military conflict

Leading up to the Euro tournament in June this year, I am conducting some research looking at fans’ views towards the role of football in response to military conflict. I note that you've now posted several surveys on this forum. My inclination is to complete them because I believe structured research is a good thing. However, to be very candid, there is a lot of research that really isn't very good and which draws invalid conclusions from data that doesn't tell the narrative the analyst seeks to tell. 

Before I complete this survey could you tell us a bit about who you are, what you're doing - I'm not asking for a name - and a little about your research? A reference to a paper or two your data has supported would be helpful too. 

I don't think this is too much to ask.

Mundell, there are no papers leading into this project. It is simply to get a snapshot of opinion leading into the Euros this summer. Thanks for your interest. You can see who the research team are on the participant information sheet and see what research they are involved in.
