It's quite obvious that the recruitment was all wrong this season, and Scott takes the lion's share of the blame, but there is nothing we can do about it now. If I'm not wrong, 90% of our fan base wanted Jones, and he has gotten the results with a poor squad that possibly kept us up this season, which is an achievement considering we were dead and buried before he arrived. The football hasn't been pretty, and I wouldn’t have expected it to be as we were fighting and still are in a relegation battle. I would imagine Jones will be at the forefront of recruitment this summer, and I'm not really one for saying let's wait and see, but in this instance, I believe it is time to wait and see what the squad looks like in August. We cannot do anything now about what's gone on before, but we must get the recruitment right this time, and I trust Jones to deliver

Over the whole season the recruitment, performances and number of wins have been poor. But we're about to wave goodbye to ten players. And as you state, most fans wanted Nathan Jones as manager. Add to that the recruitment of REG, Gillesphey, Small and Coventry a couple of months back and it isn't hard to be optimistic about next season. Get it right and we'll be a solid top six side for the first time since 2018/19. And we'll enjoy an uplift in crowds of at least 2-3,000. Statements by the club might help, but releasing ten players AND signing quality replacements BEFORE pre season will ensure loadsa STs are sold. We're talking five quality players, not a brand new squad so let's "wait and see".
