Yeah I was thinking this earlier, I never really expected us to get relegated and now we’re secure it’s all a little flat. Just want the season over so Jones can start rebuilding. Never expected or believed we were in a relegation fight .. knew once a few injuries come back and the Jan signings had 2:3 weeks settling period that we would climb the table .. we never did drop into the bottom 4 …. People suddenly think that bottom 4 teams are going to win 4/5 games on the trot that’s never going to happen that’s why there bottom 4 .. You still believe we will make the playoffs this season!!!

People suddenly think that bottom 4 teams are going to win 4/5 games on the trot that’s never going to happen that’s why there bottom 4 .. The investors rightly believed otherwise, stepping in before it was too late to dismiss Appleton, sideline Scott, and appoint a quality manager with a proven track record. While Nathan Jones’ win record so far is modest (3 wins in 10?), there is no doubt whatsoever that he has been a transformational influence behind the scenes. He has galvanised a hitherto rudderless squad, re-energised a disillusioned fanbase and built a rapport with us, appointed an experienced deputy in Paul Hart, and hugely reduced Andy Scott’s influence at Sparrows Lane. It’s quite noticeable that the only fans who are begrudging in their praise of the job Nathan Jones has done to date are the forum wiseacres, who have emotionally invested so heavily in the so called “structure”. All the rumours are that Nathan is going to lead some big changes in staff and playing personnel this Summer. Let’s see who gets behind him.

As much as we all want to get a reset and go again next season, I’ve hated this weekend. No Charlton and I miss it big time.
