Not a bad signing at all, easily an upgrade on Ladapo

Needs a contract termination . I agree 100% but it won't happen as he has another year left and nobody is going to take a risk on him loaning him off us or otherwise. Good grief, no! I thought his contract was up this summer and we could move him onto a ‘pay as you play’ deal with bonuses for goals/assists (how I hate that Americanism which never existed when I was a lad but actually works far better than the ‘set up’ or whatever we used to use). IIRC the SMT got a right slagging for only getting Ladapo on a loan deal. Unless you can snare a certainty (Coventry, Gillesphy), loans (trials) are probably the best option for L1 clubs in January. Welcome Connor and looking forward to seeing you in action.

Is he eligible for today’s game or was he signed after the cut off yesterday?

He admits himself he is not fit, so not sure he would be involved today. Should imagine if he was on the bench he may get a few minutes if the game is safe or we are chasing a goal.

Even if he’s only here for a short period. It’s another player Kanu can learn from. His hold up play, and I’d imagine savvy in the box on set pieces.

I imagine if he's been with us a couple of weeks then he's ready to be thrown on at some point. Which is handy.

Looked useful today, if a bit lumbering - obviously needs game time but might well fill that last 20 minutes nuisance slot vacated by Chuks.

Looked better and more interested than Ladapo.

Looked better and more interested than Ladapo. I was watching him during the warm ups with the shooting practice going on and he buried absolutely everything…….quite remarkable really to get a decent 20 mins out of him considering he hasn’t played all season…..when fully fit this guy is a bloody handful for league one defenders……would imagine he is in NJ’s thoughts for a one year contract next season to see how he goes

Also liked his attitude in his interview, wants to play first and foremost, but will help in any way he can.

It’s always good when a new signing is involved in a goal in the first appearance.. he’s a very big unit and I can see him being a useful focal point for May & Kanu to link with..

Looked better and more interested than Ladapo. I said the same at the match . He’s an upgrade on Ladapo, and while we’ve already got more crocks than Holby City , he’s a better bet than Freddie, who looks unfit & not too interested. On a wider point, I’d like to see us sign zero loans next season. We have been a pension top up for the infirm for too long.

What I like is that NJ is keen to bring in proven quality and you have confidence in him to make the right decisions regarding recruitment because he knows what a good player is rather than some of the unfit unproven players brought in previously
