I'm really happy with the pressing and batteling play that we're producing every game and we are so much fitter since Jones came in but I'm hoping that as we get even fitter we can string more than 3 passes together when we do win the ball and start creating more clear cut chances, at the minute it's win the ball back and then we seem abit lost and knock it about 2 passes and then send it up the top where unless we have Chucks on we can't make the most of the direct balls. We are so much better now in the second half and we have actually overrun teams in the second half which is really good.

I'm not so sure it's fitness. More aggressiveness for me. As you can probably tell from the amount of fouls etc we give away now. But more so in the amount of 50/50 battles we now win. We are fighting harder for everything which is great to see.
Footballing wise, we don't offer too much imo. I lost count of the amount of hopeful long balls we did against Northampton. Some obviously did cuase trouble but from a footballing sense it's limited. We obviously don't care about that too much if the results come in. However, we need to create enough chances to get the goals. We didn't do this well enough at the weekend and that's why we didn't get the second goal.
At the moment we need to be creating more chances as our ability to finish (low confidence) our chances is quite poor.
Defensively we are a completely different team, which is great to see.

I think they're alot fitter than before due to the intensity we have now, but it's like we put all the effort into pressing and then when we get the ball we're out of shape in an offensive sense but I think we'll get there to combine the two styles. So much better to watch than under dim Appleton we've got the passion back like the old Chartlon sides we loved
