Sucks them back into the mire.
Don't forget they have played 35 games too, one more than us and 2 or three more than the other clubs in trouble.

Obviously affects them, especially if they continue to pay tax late and trigger the suspended two points as well.
But not sure it changes our outlook much - we still need wins in March so as to catch the pack ahead of us and thus minimization our chances of the drop.

Can’t see us getting this many chances if we broke the rules An interesting challenge. Personally I think it's important that the EFL and EPL execute their reviews and decisions in a timely fashion. This so that clubs know that they will suffer penalties and sanctions immediately, not a couple of years later.

I'm not being funny but this is outrageous. The EFL are fining the owner £100k and if it isn't paid within 21 days another £100k and then another £100k if not paid within 5 weeks. He also has to dump 125% of the clubs monthly wage bill into a designated account or they'll find him another £100k, and then another £100k if it's not paid within 35 days. That's up to half a million quid. This is, almost, guaranteed to make it harder for the club to pay HMRC, meaning another 2 penalty points deducted. I wonder what happens, and what the EFL will say, if he just walks away, tells them all to 'F**k off!' and refuses to pay any more wages or open the stadium for matches. I understand that the EFL need to regulate football but the club is, clearly, out of money and the owner has shown no interest in adding to the £200m that he has put into the club, a significant amount of which will have ended up being paid to the other clubs, and members of the EFL. It looks like the EFL have decided to kill the club or, at the very least, they are demanding fines that could be used to pay the employees - many of which are not rich footballers. Talk about a scapegoat!

Talk about a scapegoat! I agree kings hill addick Threatening the owner with nominal fines (let’s not forget he’s already down £200m) is futile. He needs to sell and that’s what fans want too. Insofar as relegation makes that more difficult, the threat of further points deductions and/or of a direct relegation is a much more effective sanction and much more likely to encourage him to do what everyone wants. Nevertheless, this is obviously good news for us, especially if further points deductions might follow. We clearly need to focus on what we can control and that’s winning games and points. However, clubs around us are trying to do exactly the same thing and the fewer points needed to finish 20th in the table the better.

As I said on another thread, there's one rule for the "bigger" Premiership clubs and the rest of us can go f**k themselves.
