Going to 17 games this season including the last 5. Also being involved with football for over 40 years I cannot for the life of me understand why Appleton is playing Alfie out wide it makes absolutely no sense. Go to 4-2-3-1 with Alfie in the middle of the 3. In a football sense this should be so easy for Appleton to see, like Curbs said he needs to be central. He is the ideal player to buzz around in the box but not out of it. His alertness and instinct are his biggest attributes so Appleton needs to use this. Alfie is the best in this division at what he does, so for Gods sake and all connected with Charlton’s sake use Alfie correctly.
Also, push the boat out to sign Clarke Harris he is also the best in the division at what he does also Keep CBT, play 2 wingers and watch this team transform. This should be obvious to any with feasible football knowledge. The season is far from lost, do this Appleton ( you are surely thinking on the same lines ) if not I will be questioning your football acumen. You already have Alfie and CBT the best in the division at what they do. It’s easy really (unless you are too stubborn) and if this is the case then please leave our football club !!!
